Newcomer Tanishq Poddar Teams Up with Bollywood Hitmaker Sumeet Bellary for Debut Single!

Sumeet Bellary on Dance-Pop Anthem ‘I’ll Stay Quiet’ 18-year-old marks the beginning of his musical journey

Mumbai, October 2026: Assam-born musician Tanishq Poddar is making his official entrance into the Indian indie music landscape with the launch of his debut English track, ‘I’ll Stay Quiet’. Produced in collaboration with acclaimed Bollywood composer and music director #SumeetBellary, the high-energy dance-pop/EDM track is distributed globally by Viamonk Records.

Built around driving electronic beats and shimmering synth textures, ‘I’ll Stay Quiet’ has the energy of a dance anthem while carrying a more personal thought behind it. It is a song that can work on the dance floor while still leaving room for the emotions beneath the surface.

“There’s a version of this song that’s been in my head for a while now, and it feels surreal to be putting it out into the world finally,” says Tanishq Poddar. “I didn’t want my first release just to sound good; I wanted it to feel like me.”

For Tanishq, this single is his first step as an artist. He plans to explore different sounds as he continues to find his place and build an identity that feels right to him. “‘I’ll Stay Quiet’ is where it starts,” adds Tanishq. “It’s just the beginning, and there’s a lot more I want to say through my music.”

The debut brings Tanishq together with Sumeet Bellary, whose film credits include Fuddu, Fukrey Returns, Chhatriwali and Fukrey 3. Apart from Bollywood soundtracks, his notable independent tracks include ‘Suhe Ve Vibe’ (2026), featuring Gandhharv Sachdeva and Debanjali B Joshi; ‘Mere Naal’, featuring vocals from Sumeet Bellary, Bhoomi Trivedi and Sammy; ‘Tu Hi Pyaar Hai Sahiba’, featuring Yashraj Kapil and Priscilla Mozhumannil; and ‘Kala Doria’ (Traditional Version), a present-day folk track by vocalist Sangita. He’s known for pairing strong melodies with modern production, and Bellary helped shape the sound of Tanishq’s first release. “Tanishq came in with a clear sense of what he wanted to say, and that made the process a pleasure,” says Sumeet.

“The song has a hook that stays with you and a feeling that’s honest, and that’s a rare combination in a debut. I’m excited for people to hear where he’s starting from,” he expressed.
