#RajenderSinghPahl’s debut title #VatanSeDoor has created a lot of buzz. The president of #StarPromotionsInc. and writer is happy with the response the book has been getting.

Talking about what made her write this book, he says, “Vatan se Door was a weekly column that was published in Seema Sandesh Newspaper. It soon became very popular and people wrote about looking forward to the next. Those times were different. At that time when someone used to write something in India about the US, people loved reading about it. Today everything is there on Google. I used to write everything about my experience and the good and positive things. My editor Mangat Badal Ji decided to publish this so popular column into a book and I still remember our governor of Rajasthan, Bali Ram Bhagat ji and two-three more state ministers announced the release of my book.”
Rajender has been ‘vatan se door’ since 1994 and the book is all about his journey so far outside his motherland.

What do you miss the most about India? “India is still in my blood and my heart, my mind is always in India. After staying for so many years in the US, I dream about my village and my India. Today also, being at my home in India makes me emotional. Not just the people of my country, I am even attached to my plants. This is the first time that I have not come to India in these two years because of the pandemic. I look forward to going back to my earlier routine of visiting my country 2-3 times a year,” he replies.

On whether he plans to write more books, Rajender adds, “I have already started writing one, and it’s quite different from my first book. It’s going to be very interesting and nobody would have thought about it. As an organizer, the stories, what happens behind the scenes and things we face, we have a lot to share that I am sure would interest people a lot more than what they just see on screen or on stage.”
