A story, ‘#AlibabaandFortyThieves’, (in Marathi ‘#AlibabaaniChalisChor’) is known to almost everybody. It was part of many people’s growing up years. This story has also been part of movies and comics and the title is synonymous with ‘smartness’. Anyways a similar looking title is being adorned by an upcoming Marathi film, i.e. ‘Alibaba ani Chalishitale Chor’. The title suggests that it’s going to be a comedy film.

Is getting married a crime? The answer is No. But the characters in the film are tried for the crime of being ‘married’. The concept looks good and the starcast promises wholesome entertainment. The film boasts of a fine starcast comprising of Subodh Bhave, Mukta Barve, Umesh Kamat, Shruti Marathe, Atul Parchure, Madhura Velankar and Anand Ingle.

Director Aditya Ingle says, “The crime of being married has been committed by thieves in their forties. Now we will see what punishment they will get for this crime in the movie. The film is a multi-starrer comedy. As all the actors are excellent, different shades of each character will be witnessed in this film.”
