“Asurvan”, A Thrilling Glimpse into Tribal Culture, Motion Poster Out!
The mysterious motion poster of Sachin Ambat’s upcoming Marathi film “Asurvan” creates a buzz on social media. On the auspicious occasion of Diwali, the much-awaited Marathi film Asurvan, presented by Swapnaswaroop, unveiled its motion poster on social media. Within no time, the poster garnered over 1 million views and caught everyone’s attention. The striking visuals — a tiger-painted mask, a mystical forest, and elements of tribal culture — accompanied by an intense background score, have piqued curiosity about what the film holds in store. Written and directed by #SachinAmbat, Asurvan blends the ancient Warli tribal traditions with a mysterious backdrop. The masked face in the poster seems to unsettle the viewer, yet at the same time, it arouses intrigue.
Speaking about the motion poster, director Sachin Ambat shared, “The motion poster of my debut film was recently released on social media, and I’m overwhelmed by the audience’s positive response. In the poster, you can see a forest — it’s a cursed one, popularly known as ‘Asurvan.’ At the center stands a masked figure, and in the Warli tribal language, this mask is called ‘Devacha Song’ (the disguise of a deity).”
He further added, “The mask represents a deity called ‘Phirsatya Dev’. This deity guides the good-hearted people who get lost in the forest but traps those with evil intentions, misleading them and imprisoning them within the woods. Whether this Phirsatya Dev leads the way or deceives, you’ll find out in the film Asurvan. The film will be hitting screens soon.”
