At the Jio MAMI “Rainbow Rishta’ receives immense love and applause!

Rainbow Rishta, Prime Video’s upcoming Original unscripted docuseries follows six inspiring and heartwarming love stories of members from the LGBTQIA+ community. Ahead of its launch on the service on November 7, Prime Video premiered two episodes from the series at the prestigious Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival, as part of their PLAY segment.

The series features Trinetra Haldar, Aishwarya Ayushmaan, Daniella Mendonca, Aneez Saikia and Sanam Choudhary, Soham Sengupta and Suresh Ramdas, and Sadam Hanjabam, giving the audience a window into the endearing world of queer love stories from different parts of India. Receiving adulation, applause, and praises from all the attendees for its unique, candid, and unflinchingly honest approach, the series garnered so much love, overwhelming the audience present at the special screening.

Taking a bow, the team of Rainbow Rishta including Aparna Purohit, head of Originals, India & Southeast Asia, Prime Video, Samira Kanwar, VP Content for Asia Pacific at Vice Media, director – Jaydeep Sarkar, the protagonists, and crew, along with Sushant Divgikr who sang the soulful title track ‘Nazaare’ for the series, soaked in all the love.

Produced by Vice Studios and directed by Jaydeep Sarkar, along with story directors Hridaye A. Nagpal and Shubhra Chatterji, the docuseries written by Monisha Thyagarajan and Navin Noronha, directed by Jaydeep Sarkar, Hridaye Nagpal and Shubhra Chatterji and produced by Samira Kanwar, Niharika Kotwal and Jaydeep Sarkar. Rainbow Rishta will stream from November 7 in India and across 240 countries and territories worldwide exclusively on Prime Video.
