Bharti Achrekar Debuts Marathi Television With Colors Marathi’s ‘Mi Jinkun Ghein Saar’!
They say bonds forged beyond blood can sometimes be the most cherished. These ties weather any storm for us, stand rock-solid behind us, and don’t hesitate to sacrifice everything when needed. The new serial Mi Jinkun Ghein Saar (I’ll Win It All) is built on this theme. Its protagonist, Chhavi, embodies it—she sees Bai-Aaji (grandmother) as god-like figure despite no blood relation. For her and the Rajguru family, Chhavi can do anything. But protecting this family will bring countless obstacles her way. How will she face them? How will she navigate it all? Tune in to find out.
A powerful promo has just dropped, sparking massive viewer excitement. The biggest draw? Veteran actress Bharti Achrekar in the role of Bai-Aaji—a strong, impactful character in her debut Marathi serial. Her commanding screen presence, witty persona, and decisive demeanor shine through even in sparse dialogue. The sweet, emotional, heart-winning Chhavi will be played by Janhavi Tambat. Amruta Phadke as Shambhavi, Vatsala-Vandana Waknis, Sanchit Chaudhary as Aniket, Amit Rekhi as Saket, and Disha Dande as Baby Aatya round out key roles.
Bai-Aaji holds the Rajguru household together as its pillar. Like Jijau stood firmly behind Shivaji Maharaj, Bai-Aaji supports her son unwaveringly. After losing her son and daughter-in-law in an accident, she raised grandsons Saket and Aniket with mother’s love. Chhavi grew up in this Rajguru family too. She’s beautiful and cultured but doesn’t fit traditional molds—an imperfect, chatty, overly enthusiastic yet clever girl who pours her heart into every bond. Her loyalty to Bai-Aaji shines through constantly. On one side, the shadow-like bond between Bai-Aaji and Chhavi; on the other, cunning, sly, greedy Shambhavi with her vengeful past eyeing the family. Will Chhavi uncover Shambhavi’s plot to destroy them? How will she handle the crises? What’s the real reason behind Shambhavi’s revenge? What price will Chhavi pay to protect the family? These questions will keep viewers hooked.
Bai-Aaji stands firmly by her in the promo, highlighting their unbreakable trust. In life’s pivotal moments, Bai-Aaji relies on Chhavi’s strong personality and wisdom. This unshakeable faith and support form the heart of their bond.
Speaking about the serial, Bharti Achrekar said, “Bai-Aaji isn’t just a traditional grandma—she’s liberal-minded, open to change, adapts to modern thoughts, struts confidently with a smirk, always cheerful. She understands her grandkids, keeps friendly bonds, yet remains the family’s backbone—battle-hardened by crises but never crumbling. She lets them dream but instills discipline and responsibility. She values honesty and hard work, so she adores diligent Chhavi. Despite her experience, emotions sometimes sway her decisions, making the character vivid and human. After decades in the industry, this is my first central role in a Marathi serial—a thrilling new chapter. Portraying this multi-layered, powerful, emotional role is pure joy.”
Commenting on the serial, Executive Vice President, Marathi Cluster, Satish Rajwade said, “We always aim to deliver quality stories with fresh narratives. After a while, we’re bringing a family fiction serial that everyone can watch together, appealing to all ages. Mi Jinkun Ghein Saar blends grit, family complexities, and timeless values. It’s Chhavi’s story—a girl who’s faced hardships since childhood but firmly believes in winning every battle for her loved ones.” He added, “Bai-Aaji is crucial in Chhavi’s life—her true support system. Their pure love and trust keep Chhavi standing strong, managing the home wholeheartedly. Bharti Achrekar’s debut on TV is a proud moment for us; her vast experience is the serial’s biggest strength. We’re confident in delivering a meaningful, quality experience.”
Baby Aatya, played by Disha Dande, also plays a key role in this saga, adding edge as seen in the teaser. Tensions in relationships, family strife, and a resolute woman’s voice—the promo leaves viewers with burning questions. No Matter How Stormy the Winds… .’Mi Jinkun Ghein Saar’.
Watch from March 16, evenings at 7 PM on Colors Marathi.
