Bhojpuri Star Poonam Dubey to Star in the Powerful Courtroom Drama Saira Khan Case!

Poonam Dubey, one of Bhojpuri cinema’s most loved actresses, known for films like Diwana 2, Kallu Ki Dulhaniya, Mehandi Laga Ke Rakhna 2, and Hamar Mission Hamar Banaras, is now set to appear in the powerful courtroom drama #SairaKhanCase. Releasing on 10 October, the film is inspired by a real-life case and also stars Rajniesh Duggal, Karan Razdan, Rajeev Verma, and Mukesh Tyagi.

Directed by former Principal Judge Swati Chauhan and co-written with filmmaker Karan Razdan, the film promises to be a gripping, thought-provoking cinematic experience. Produced by Salim Lalani, Swati Chauhan, Nizar Lalani, Shamshu Pirani, Nimesh Patel, and Satish Bhanushali under the banner of Soul Films.

Sharing her excitement, Dubey said, “I have done romance, action, comedy, and family dramas in Bhojpuri cinema, but this film is very different. The story has a real-life connection, and that gave me both responsibility and motivation. Preparing for this role was intense—I studied films and dramas that portrayed the cultural and emotional layers relevant to the story. It is the kind of project that challenges you as an actor and leaves a lasting mark.”
