Kadhipatta

Bhushan Patil’s ‘Kadhipatta’ is a ‘A Bittersweet Love Story’!

Romantic tales have always held a special place in cinema, often reimagined against varied and vibrant backdrops. This year, Marathi audiences are in for something new with Kadhipatta, a film that promises a distinctive take on love. Subtitled “A Bittersweet Love Story,” its intriguing title alone is enough to spark curiosity. The project comes from a brand-new producer-director team eager to share a youthful romance with audiences, and it will hit theatres across Maharashtra on November 7.

Backed by Yuvan Productions, Kadhipatta is produced by Swapnil Yuvraj Marathe, with Vishwaa at the helm as writer and director. For both, this marks their first foray into filmmaking, and they are debuting with a music-filled love story designed for the big screen. A motion poster has already been unveiled, showing the hero and heroine in a picturesque outdoor setting. While #BhushanPatil plays the male lead, the female lead’s identity is still under wraps, adding to the suspense. Her voice is heard in the poster delivering an emotional dialogue, but her face will only be revealed in the coming days.

Speaking about his vision, director #Vishwaa shared, “This isn’t just another romance. It reflects the mindset of today’s youth — their emotions, values, connections, and inner worlds. The story brings a fresh angle to love, offering themes rarely touched upon in cinema, paired with rich, heartfelt music. The approach is unconventional, and I believe viewers will leave feeling they’ve experienced something truly different.”

Producer Swapnil Marathe echoed the sentiment, saying, “For our first project, we wanted to create something meaningful and melody-driven. Kadhipatta delivers on both fronts.”

The film also features Akshay Tanksale, Sanjay Mone, Shubhangi Gokhale, Gargi Phule, Ananda Karekar, and Gauri Sukhtankar, with special appearances by Anand Ingale and Chetna Bhatt. Cinematography is by Aniket Khandagale, editing by Rishiraj Joshi, and distribution is handled by Cinepolis. Samyukta Subhash serves as project head, with Vishal Chawwan as executive producer. Music is by Padmanabh Gaikwad and Ashish Khandel, with lyrics from Manndar Cholkar, Mukund Bhalerao, and Vinu Sangwan, and vocals by Rohit Raut, Padmanabh Gaikwad, Ananya Wadkar, Saaj Bhatt, and Priyanshi Srivastava. The background score is composed by Tanmay Bhide. Costumes are designed by Pallavi Patil and Gargi Patil, with makeup by Kiran Sawant.
