Chaitrali Gupte shared that she had many reasons to come on board the series, ‘Jabb Zodiacs Met’!
Chaitrali Gupte is seen in Ishika Shahi’s Jabb Zodiacs Met, which has been produced by Rajan Shahi’s Director’s Kut Production. The series, which revolves around the 12 zodiac signs, is streaming on DKP’s official YouTube channel. The actress shared that she had many reasons to come on board the series, the top one being that Ishika had created it.
She said, “It was extremely intriguing and exciting for me. I do believe in astrology, numerology, and vastu. I am not a blind believer, but many times I do believe in these energies. When Ishika approached me with this concept, there was no second thought.”
“Firstly, because it was Ishika—I have known her since she was a child—and secondly, it was Rajan Sir’s production, so saying no was never an option. Also, I was playing a very important protagonist, and playing the main character in any show is always special, so I immediately grabbed the opportunity,” she added.
She also mentioned that she explored her own zodiac sign while preparing for the role.
She said, “I was playing a zodiac sign that is not my real one, and soon the audience will get to know which zodiac I’m portraying. Sikander Kharbanda, who played my husband in the show, has studied numerology and astrology, so he used to share many insights with us.”
“There were no similarities between my real zodiac and the one I was playing in the show, but some of the things he told me about my personal zodiac were surprisingly accurate. It was very interesting and exciting to discover those aspects,” she added.
However, Chaitrali admitted that while her character’s zodiac traits are different from hers in real life, she connected with its emotional depth.
She said, “Even if the zodiac signs were different, certain emotions and reactions felt familiar. That balance between understanding the character and staying true to human emotions helped me perform the role.”
Asked what was the most challenging part of portraying emotions that are influenced by something as abstract as astrology, she said,
“It was knowing that people belonging to that zodiac sign would watch the show. They should be able to relate to the character. That pressure was always there.”
“I was honestly scared and nervous while portraying the role. But I believe Ishika and her team studied all twelve zodiac signs very deeply, and we all tried our best to accept that challenge and portray it honestly,” Chaitrali concluded.
