‘Chand Dekh Lena’ Song from ‘Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace’, Starring Salman Khan and Chitrangada Singh, Out!
After teasing audiences with the first glimpse, Salman Khan is here with an Eid surprise for his fans as Salman Khan Films has now released the full song “Chand Dekh Lena” featuring Salman Khan and Chitrangada Singh from Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace. Released on the auspicious occasion of Eid, the song beautifully weaves in the emotional significance of the moon, an element deeply rooted in both Eid and Karwa Chauth. While the sighting of the moon marks celebration and togetherness during Eid, it also symbolises love, longing, and faith during Karwa Chauth, making “Chaand Dekh Lena” a poignant blend of two traditions connected by emotion and hope.
Following the phenomenal response to the film’s title track “Maatrubhumi,” which crossed 50 million views across platforms, and the Valentine’s Day release “Main Hoon,” the newly released “Chand Dekh Lena” continues to build anticipation around the film’s music and narrative.
Composed by Himesh Reshammiya, the track is a classic Bollywood rendition of love and longing. The song captures the emotional reality of relationships shaped by a soldier’s duty. The visuals show Chitrangada Singh’s character waiting with quiet resilience for her husband, played by Salman Khan, who returns home after serving at the border, highlighting the silent strength of families who stand behind those protecting the nation.
Adding a refreshing musical touch, Salman Khan has also used the song to introduce fresh voices. “Chand Dekh Lena” is sung by young talents Nihal Tauro, known for his popular spiritual bhajans and kirtans, and Ankona Mukherjee. The track marks a significant opportunity for both singers, as Salman Khan continues his tradition of giving newcomers a meaningful break in mainstream cinema.
Originally titled Battle of Galwan, the film was recently retitled ‘Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace’. This change reflects the deeper emotional core of the story and its message of humanity, even amid conflict.
‘Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace’ is produced by Salma Khan under the banner of Salman Khan Films, with Apoorva Lakhia at the helm as director. The film promises an unflinching portrayal of bravery, sacrifice, and resilience. The film also stars Chitrangada Singh in a pivotal role.
