‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle’ Outgrosses Previous Anime Record by 7X in just 10 days!

Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment India have shattered records with Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle, now India’s biggest anime film ever. In just 10 days, it has raked in a staggering ₹73 Cr GBOC, setting new benchmarks for anime and animation and rewriting the record books across multiple categories.

In its opening week alone, Demon Slayer delivered a phenomenal ₹62.8 Cr GBOC, marking the highest-grossing week ever for any anime film in India.

Sony Pictures’ wide-reaching distribution strategy brought the film to audiences outside the usual metros, creating a nationwide sensation not seen before in major local releases as well.

The film also holds its own among International releases of 2025, registering the third biggest opening week of the year.

Today, Demon Slayer is already among the Top 5 highest-grossing international films of the year in India. By retaining its position as the #1 Hollywood film in India for two consecutive weekends, Demon Slayer has proven that the love for anime is no longer niche but a nationwide phenomenon. With ₹73 Cr GBOC already collected, the film’s journey is far from over, and its impact on the Indian box office is nothing short of groundbreaking.
