Despite Limited Screens, ‘Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri’, Collects ₹8.46 Crore On the Opening Day!
Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, starring Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday, made a strong impression at the box office on its Christmas Day release. Despite facing stiff competition from other releases and having limited screens, the rom-com managed to earn around ₹8.46 crore (net India) on its opening day. The film’s occupancy was around 34.5%, with higher footfalls in the evening and night shows, proving that holiday releases still draw crowds when supported by star power.
The film currently stands among Kartik Aaryan’s top 5 highest opening-day collections, marking a significant milestone for the actor. While some of his other releases have opened under the ₹10 crore mark, Kartik has previously recorded massive openings with his franchise films like Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 (2024) at ₹36.60 crore and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 (2022) at ₹14.11 crore. Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri reinforces his ability to connect with audiences even outside the franchise format.
The box office scenario was challenging as screens were divided among other big releases, including Dhurandhar and Hollywood blockbuster Avatar: Fire and Ash. Despite these constraints, the rom-com performed exceptionally well relative to its limited availability, showing that strong fan following and content-driven appeal can still drive substantial viewership.
Kartik Aaryan’s audience connect and fan base played a crucial role in the film’s performance. Known for his relatable charm and comic timing, Kartik continues to pull crowds to theatres, and Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri benefited from his mass appeal. The film’s first-day numbers are a testament to his growing market value and the loyalty of his fans, ensuring that even with competition and fewer screens, the movie carved out a notable presence in the festive box office race.
