Despite partial release ‘The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond’ Earned ₹5.5 Cr so far!

After days of uncertainty and intense debate, The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond has made a strong statement at the box office. After the high court lifted the stay, the theatres screened the film from Friday evening post 6 pm and despite the limited window, it managed to collect an impressive ₹5.5Cr starting from 27th February till shows screened till 28th February.

Considering the circumstances and the cloud of controversy surrounding its release, the numbers indicate a solid and promising start.

The partial-day releases rarely translate into impactful figures. However, The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond appears to have converted curiosity and conversation into footfalls. The positive momentum suggests that audiences were waiting to watch the film in cinemas once the legal hurdles were cleared.

With ₹5.5 crore already on the board within its first effective weekend window, the film has positioned itself for a steady run ahead. All eyes are now on the coming weekdays to see how the trend sustains.

Directed by Kamakhya Narayan Singh, the has been released in Kannada and Telugu languages bringing to the forefront the harrowing story of three Hindu girls, played by Ulka Gupta, Aditi Bhatia, and Aishwarya Ojha, whose lives take a terrifying turn after they fall in love with three Muslim boys, relationships that gradually reveal a calculated agenda of religious conversion. The Kerala Story 2- Goes Beyond is produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah under the banner Sunshine Pictures. The film successfully running in cinemas.
