Tell us something about your Journey?
Actually Journey is pretty long, I started very early and I think that is the strongest part of my carrier because if I would have started today I won’t have reached anywhere I started playing with cassette I have personally done loading of equipment so it’s been a long journey but then I love it all.
You play for weddings also, could you tell us what kind of preparation you have to do?
There is no pre-set which I do, I play according to my audience wedding are different from clubs because it means lot of personal touch to it as we are dealing with family so we need to give our best in our reality its all upon the themes also everybody has its own theme so we go according to that
Do you have to go briefing with these families to understand them?
We meet every client before the wedding and actually before 2 to 3 months so that and we discussed what is the favourite track of the couple and we work accordingly but at the end of it I am the master I judge the crowd and then according to that I play.
Do you only play wedding as functions or what kind of occasion you are located to?
Wedding is not only the occasion which I only play to, I love to do as well Birthday, anniversary, and today weddings are so huge it just not only the sangeet now a days you got youngsters, bachelors, Cocktails and the new concept which you have got is Baarat and I do the most interactive Baarat in India, So in terms of the Baarat when we have a long trailer which have all equipment set I am amongst the whole Baarat the whole audience I am raping I m singing and everyone is having the best time.
How many remix have you made till now, which is your most love creation?
Remixes in number I don’t remember but there are many but the most memorable is mere Rashke Qamar by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan Actually the remix which I had made is not by Rahat Sahab it is by Nusrat Sahab and I am a very big Diehard Fan of Nusrat Sahab the video has me personally and there are lot of musicians doing their best in it and there is one more song that is dil diyan gallan So these two are my favourite.
What are the latest trends in DJ now days?
I have lot of musician who are doing jugalmandi with me, my dhol team is best in the country. We have a pure jugalmandi with lot of artist doing and this is what is happening and also we are taking this thing out of India.
So whenever you play the saxophonist or perfectionist do you need certain kind of sets to play with them how do you sink in to the music?
Actually we have never practice we basically figure out where the right movement is for the right musician to come so pakasur is from start but then if he need to play the violin he doesn’t come from start he gets the right movement to come and every wedding we get the right movement .
Tell us the most experience memorable movement of your life?
There are two, 1st is I am very big diehard fan of Salman khan for four years I have performed for his birthday and we apparently share the same dates he is 27 December and I am 28 December so four years I played for his birthday and the 1st time I played for his birthday it was the most memorable day for me 2nd one is the one which is from my heart my very dear friend his sister got married I played for his sister wedding and where I met the love of my life so I think these are the two most memorable movement of my life definitely I have done even bigger wedding bigger events then these but this is most memorable time of my life.
Who is the good DJ basically is the person who has to come with his qualification or it should come with some learning and aspects?
Every line has its categories so weddings, Corporate, clubs I have started my life by doing clubs also at that time there was no qualification today definitely these clubs are where have you gain training from or how good are you with the music but I think DJ or any entertainment aspects is from heart it is not from learning no one will teach you how to play Music should comes from heart.
What is your advice for these budding DJ’s?
You have to work very hard and on top of it not just our industry or any industry you should have some knowledge of it and it should comes from your blood just because you see that there is lot of money, lot of work or lot of reorganization it’s not like that but then if you really think that you can become a good DJ and have knowledge of music so please do it.
