‘Fakireeyat’, A Cinematic Tribute to Guru-Bhakti and Spiritual Wisdom, Trailer Out!
The much-awaited Hindi feature film “Fakireeyat” recently unveiled its trailer and music album at a grand event hosted at Ravindra Natya Mandir, Prabhadevi, Mumbai. The launch was graced by veteran singer Anuradha Paudwal and acclaimed actress-producer #MedhaManjrekar as chief guests, alongside the film’s team and several noted personalities from the industry.
Unlike conventional cinema, Fakireeyat delves into the world of devotion, spirituality, and the timeless bond between Guru and disciple. Inspired by the extraordinary journey of Guru Maa Rudratmika, the film sheds light on her unwavering faith, her struggles in fulfilling her Guru’s mission, and the glory of great saints like Shri Mahavatar Babaji, Shri Ramakrishna Paramhansa, Shri Swami Samarth, Shri Shankar Maharaj, Baba Shri Kalbhairav, Baba Shri Bhadrabahu, Haidakhan Baba, and Maa Kali. In 2024, Guru Maa received a divine directive to make this film; despite no background in filmmaking, she embraced the challenge and, with the support of her disciples, brought Fakireeyat to life.
The film marks the Hindi directorial debut of #SantoshManjrekar and is produced under the banner of Bhadrabahu Divine Creations LLP. The narrative is adapted from Anuja Janvalekar’s books “Chirut Jalti Hai” and “Adhyatma: Ek Vidroh, Ek Kranti”, with the screenplay by Anil Pawar and dialogues jointly written by Pawar and Janvalekar.
The trailer introduces audiences to an inspiring message—that Kriya Yoga is not merely a practice, but a divine gift and a path to holistic well-being. It opens with a brief explanation of Mudra Yoga and Pranayama, while actress #DeepaParab, in the role of Guru Mata, is shown spreading awareness about these ancient practices. Dressed in saffron robes, radiating calmness, she embodies the spirit of a true disciple, echoing Babaji’s teachings. Shot across untouched natural landscapes, including Kashi Manikarnika during the Kumbh Mela and remote parts of Uttarakhand, the film’s visuals amplify its soulful narrative.
Fakireeyat portrays not just spirituality but also the higher ideals of sacrifice and detachment. Guru Maa Rudratmika emphasizes that saints like Babaji and Baba Bhadrabahu transcend boundaries of religion, language, and geography. The very title “Fakireeyat” reflects their philosophy—an essence of renunciation, knowledge, and inner greatness. The dialogues are laced with their teachings, reminding audiences that nothing happens without divine will.
The cast features Uday Tikekar, Sandesh Jadhav, Vineet Sharma, Akshay Vartak, Nayan Jadhav, Anisha Sabnis, with a special appearance by Santosh Juvekar. Music is composed by Pravin Kuwar, with lyrics by Samruddhi Pawar, and rendered by singers Manish Rajgire, Manoj Mishra, Jasraj Joshi, and Neha Rajpal. The film’s cinematography is by Ajith Reddy, while Nilesh Gawand handles editing.
With its blend of spiritual depth, mesmerizing visuals, and heartfelt music, Fakireeyat promises to offer audiences an experience that is not just cinematic, but transformative.
