First Time in Maharashtra, 57 Mumukshu to Take ‘Diksha’ on Sunday, November 23!
Maharashtra is set to witness a historic spiritual moment for the first time, as a total of 57 Mumukshu will take the auspicious time (Muhurat) for grand mass initiation next Sunday, November 23. This unique event will be organized in the sacred presence of Jain Acharyas Somsundarsuriji, Shreyansprabhasuriji, and Yogtilaksuriji.
The Mumukshu taking initiation include 18 males and 39 females, who hail from states like Gujarat, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, as well as from abroad like America. All the Mumukshu are inspired by the discourses and spiritual guidance of Acharya Yogtilaksuriji.
A huge pandal of 14,000 square feet is being prepared for this vast and unique initiation program at Panchsheel Plaza on Hughes Road in Mumbai. According to the organizers, more than 3,000 people are expected to attend the program.
The overall sponsorship for this entire program has been taken by the renowned philanthropist , Shriman Babulalji Mishrimalji Bhansali.
Ages 7 to 70- Mumukshu of Every Age Included
The youngest Mumukshu taking initiation is a 7-year-old girl, while the oldest Mumukshu is 70 years old. Additionally, more than 15 graduates and highly educated youths have also resolved to renounce the world.
Acharya Yogtilaksuriji holds an extremely distinguished position in the Jain community. He is the only Jain Acharya to have given more than 350 initiations in the last 10 years. Currently, he has more than 100 disciples, which is considered a unique achievement in Jainism.
This mass initiation, to be held in the presence of Mumukshu from various states and America, thousands of devotees, and respected Jain Acharyas, will be a special moment for the Jain community, full of pride, devotion, and spiritual enlightenment (light).
This day of November 23 will become a symbol of renunciation, restraint, and the journey towards the path of salvation even in the modern era, securing its place in history- when 57 Mumukshu will take the auspicious moment for initiation together.
