For ‘Ti Ani Fuji’ Lalit Prabhavkar Receives Best Actor – Jury Special Mention Award at PIFF!

Shailaditya Bora-produced and Mohit Takalkar-directed Marathi-Japanese film To Ti Ani Fuji had its world premiere at the 24th Pune International Film Festival (PIFF). Starring Lalit Prabhavkar and Mrunmayee Godbole in lead roles, the film was one of seven selected for the Marathi competition section, with all its screenings selling out (housefull).
Emerging as one of the festival’s most buzzed-about films, To Ti Ani Fuji clinched two prestigious awards: Lalit Prabhavkar for Best Actor (Jury Special Mention) and Iravati Karnik for Best Screenplay.Filmed in Japan and India, To Ti Ani Fuji tells the story of a couple living in Pune where love isn’t natural—it’s measured, rated, and trapped in algorithms and predictions. In this world, their intense, all-in love story unfolds.
Commenting on the honors, Lalit Prabhavkar (Aandi Gopaal, Zombivli, Smile Please) said, “To Ti Ani Fuji was an incredibly challenging and unique experience for me. Receiving a special mention at the prestigious Pune International Film Festival is truly overwhelming and deeply satisfying. It’s special that both audiences and jury connected so profoundly with my performance. This is my second award in Pune, making it even more meaningful—especially in front of an international jury. Credit goes to director Mohit, who pushed me beyond my limits. This is my fifth film with Iravati. Being part of one of the few Indian films shot in Japan makes the journey unforgettable.”
