The recently released trailer of Border 2 has been receiving an overwhelming response from audiences, with viewers saying that the film takes them down a memory lane. At the centre of this buzz is #VarunDhawan, who is being seen in a strong, mass-driven avatar that has struck a chord with fans across regions.
Adding to the appreciation, popular creator and Bigg Boss OTT winner Elvish Yadav took to Instagram to praise Varun Dhawan highlighting his Haryanvi accent and screen presence in the film. Being a Haryanvi himself, Elvish shared how much he enjoyed watching Varun embrace the regional flavour so convincingly. He said, “I just watched the trailer of Border 2 and I loved the songs and Sunny Paji. Varun Bhai is playing a Haryanvi and the accent is perfect. He plays a Jaat in the film and I would like to wish him all the best!”
Elvish’s praise resonated with many fans who have been applauding Varun’s transformation in Border 2. Known for his versatility since the start of his career having done films like Badlapur, Sui Dhaaga and October, Varun is returns as the full-fledged mass hero, fronting a large-scale patriotic film with intensity. The trailer has already sparked conversations around Varun’s commanding presence, dialogue delivery and his effort to stay true to the character’s cultural roots.
Responding to Elvish’s message, Varun Dhawan reposted the story and wrote, “Thank you so much Elvish Bhai. Aapka bhi kaam dekh Ke bohot maza aata hai.”
With Border 2 shaping up to be one of the most anticipated films, and possibly India’s biggest war movie, the love coming in from audiences and creators alike further fuels the excitement around the movie. Helmed by Anurag Singh and headlined by Varun Dhawan along with Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty, the film is garnering positive reception following its trailer drop, showing that it clearly has a strong hold as a mass entertainer leading from the front.
