Is Malayalam star Sudev Nair set to play a pivotal role in Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups?

Known for his nuanced performances, Sudev Nair rose to critical acclaim with My Life Partner, which earned him the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actor in 2014. Now, speculation is rife that the actor will be seen sharing screen space with #Yash in #ToxicAFairyTaleForGrownUps, the #PanIndia spectacle that has already created significant buzz across industries.

The spark came from a warm birthday message shared by Geetu Mohandas on Instagram, featuring a candid image of Sudev holding a surfboard at the beach. Her caption read, “Happy Birthday to one of my fav performers ❤️,” and fans were quick to connect the dots. Adding to the intrigue, Sudev is the only actor visibly featured in the recently released teaser of Toxic, which has further strengthened assumptions about his key role in the narrative.

While the makers have remained tight-lipped about the character details, the teaser appearance and the director’s post strongly suggest that Sudev Nair may be essaying an important role in the film’s dark, fairy-tale-inspired world.

Apart from Toxic: A Fairy Tale For Grown Ups, the versatile actor is also gearing up for the release of his next Malayalam film Sleeplessly Yours, directed by Goutham Surya, which is slated to hit theatres on May 20, 2025.

Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is being jointly produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash under the banners of KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on March 19, 2026.
