Ke Huy Quan, who voices Gary De’Snake in ‘Zootopia 2’, revealed that the role changed his relationship with snakes!
Disney’s Zootopia returns to the big screen with its winning mix of humour, heart and world-class animation, delivering an all-ages entertainer that feels bigger, brighter and more immersive than ever. Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde are back on a brand-new adventure, this time racing to help a misunderstood pit viper – Gary De’Snake.
Ke Huy Quan, who voices Gary De’Snake, revealed that the role changed his relationship with snakes entirely. He said, “I got to play this character a little back in my career. It’s like, isn’t it interesting how I’m playing an animal that Indiana Jones is definitely afraid? Prior to playing Gary De’Snake, I was actually very afraid of snakes. After playing him and knowing how misunderstood snakes are, I’m a little less afraid. In fact, I held snakes during this press tour, and I even had one that slithered onto my arm, and where his tongue was going in and out. And you know what that means? That’s how they smell. They smell with the tongue. What I’m hoping to accomplish is, you know how Jaws makes you afraid to go in the water? This movie makes you less afraid of snakes.”
Zootopia 2 is running in theatres in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
