Lavani Kalavant Mahasangh Announces Awards on Its 11th Foundation Day

#TheLavaniKalavantMahasangh, Mumbai is all set to celebrate its 11th Foundation Day and annual Award Ceremony on Tuesday, 24th June 2025, at 5 PM at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Mandir, Dadar. The grand event aims to honour and celebrate artists who have made significant contributions to the fields of Lavani and folk art.

As part of the celebrations, several renowned artists will be felicitated with the Lavani Gaurav Awards and the prestigious Jeevan Gaurav (Lifetime Achievement) Award. This year, veteran Shahiri artist #MadhukarKhamkar will be honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award for his outstanding contribution to the Shahiri tradition.

Other notable awardees of the Lavani Gaurav 2025 include, Lavanyavati Pragnya Koli, Shahiri artist Dattaram Mhatre, Singer Vandana Nikale, Male Lavani performer Anand Satam, Producer Uday Satam, Musician Dheeraj Goregaonkar, Choreographer Subhash Nakashe, Anchor Bharat Utekar, Folk art promoter Sunil Dhage, Backstage expert Sunil Devlekar.

In addition, the artist couple Kiran Dange and Sujata Kamble-Dange will be felicitated with the Raja-Rani 2025 Award for their exceptional contribution as a duo in the Lavani art form.

The event will also honour the children of artists who have successfully passed their 10th and 12th-grade board examinations. Winners of the Navrang competition, organized during the Mahasangh’s Navratri celebrations, will also be awarded on this occasion.

To add glamour and cultural vibrancy to the evening, several acclaimed artists from Mumbai will present a captivating musical and dance performance. The announcement was made by Kavita Ghadshi, President of the Lavani Kalavant Mahasangh.
