Mahamandaleshwar Sanjananand Giri recently visited Mumbai, where she interacted with prominent social figures, political leaders, and Bollywood celebrities. During her visit, she addressed the need for actors and influencers to uphold dignity and moral integrity in their professional and personal lives.
She expressed her belief that while acting is a respected art form, it is essential for those in the industry to maintain a balance between creativity and ethical values.
The Essence of Kumbh Mela – Discussing the spiritual significance of the #KumbhMela, Mahamandaleshwar described it as a sacred epicenter of faith and energy. She said, “Kumbh is a mesmerizing spiritual experience. Prayagraj, often called the city of religion, exudes an energy that is both divine and transformative.”
She praised the efforts of saints and ascetics whose meditative practices and fire rituals foster positivity in the region. However, she expressed her disappointment with the media for failing to highlight these spiritual contributions. Instead, she criticized the media’s growing obsession with superficial content, such as social media trends and vlogs, which overshadow the profound work of spiritual leaders.
Kamakhya Dham: A Unique Spiritual Destination – Mahamandaleshwar also shared her thoughts on Kamakhya Dham, calling it a miraculous and unparalleled site of devotion. She dismissed rumors linking the temple to black magic and occult practices, urging people to personally visit and witness its divine essence. According to her, Kamakhya Dham represents ultimate spiritual fulfillment and deserves to be experienced without the cloud of baseless superstitions.

In her address – Mahamandaleshwar also called out the media for prioritizing sensationalism over substance. She remarked that the tireless dedication of ascetics, which contributes immensely to society’s spiritual well-being, is often overlooked in favor of trivial or controversial topics. She appealed to the media to focus more on positive narratives that inspire and educate the masses.
