Marathi Artists’ Cricket League Set to Shine in Dubai!

The special bond between artists and cricket is evident time and again. Sometimes cricketers step onto the acting field, and sometimes artists hit the cricket pitch to nurture their passion. Cricket ignites enthusiasm in everyone—how could Marathi cinema stars stay behind? Many in the Marathi film industry are cricket enthusiasts, but shooting schedules and time constraints often keep them from playing. Keeping this in mind, actor #SushantShelar has organized the SS Celebrity Box Cricket League (SSCBCL) this year in Dubai itself. He’s received special support from Jyoti Entertainment’s Hardik Joshi and Ranjan Joshi.Actor Sushant Shelar, active in entertainment, politics, and social work, always leads social initiatives. From COVID relief to flood aid, he’s extended a helping hand whenever needed. Through the Shelar Mama Foundation, he runs various programs, including cultural events and aid for the needy, upholding his social responsibility.

In SSCBCL, fans will see teams from different districts of Maharashtra featuring artists. These teams will include male and female artists, media professionals, and influencers. The teams will be announced soon, named to evoke environment, culture, and forts: Ratnadurg-Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg-Malvan, Tadoba-Nagpur, Ajinkyatara-Satara, Shivneri-Pune, Panhala-Kolhapur, Godavari-Nashik, and more. The league, teams, and artists’ announcements, along with the logo reveal, will happen soon in the presence of Hon. Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, confirmed league chief Sushant Shelar.Sushant Shelar has successfully introduced innovative entertainment concepts before. With the same zeal, he’s taking SSCBCL across the seven seas to Dubai, gearing up the Marathi film industry for a fresh wave of fun.
