Marathi movie ‘Satyashodhak’ is based on Mahatma Jyotirao Phule’s life, releases 5th January!

The pains taken by Mahatma Jyotirao Phule and Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule to educate women in the pre-independence India will be showcased in a Marathi movie ‘Satyashodhak’ which is based on their lives. The struggles they had to put for the same will ge seen in the movie. Mahatma Jyotirao Phule and Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule showed the hope of education to all women in an era when women were not allowed to move out of the house.

At the launch of trailer of ‘Satyashodhak’, actor Sandeep Kulkarni appeared in the get up of Jyoti Rao and actress Rajshree Deshpande as Savitrimai. Their entry in the movie’s costumes was applauded by everyone present. Sandeep Kulkarni, Rajshree Deshpande along with Ganesh Yadav, Suresh Vishwakarma, Ravindra Mankani are part of the film. The trailer of the film was unveiled by veteran novelist Vishwas Patil. Many other dignitaries were present on the occasion.

Produced by Samata Films, Abhita Films Production Pvt. Ltd, Satyashodhak is presented and written-directed by Nilesh Jalmkar. Concept of Rahul Tayde, Vaishakh Wahurwagh Satyashodhak is produced by Pravin Tayde, Appa Borate, Bhimrao Pattebahadur, Sunil Shelke, Vishal Wahurwagh and co-produced by Rahul Wankhade, Balasaheb Bangar, Harsha Tayde, Pratika Bansode, Pramod Kale. Siva Bagul and Mahesh Bharambe are executive producers. Nikhil Padghan, Devanand Mohod, Mangala Wankhade and Nita Gavai have contributed to the production. Interestingly, the film will be released everywhere through Reliance Entertainment.

The movie Satyashodak will release on January 5, 2024.
