“Paani” Shines with 25 Prestigious National and International Awards!

#RajshriEntertainment has made a remarkable entry into Marathi cinema with their debut film Paani, produced in collaboration with Purple Pebble Pictures and Kothare Vision Pvt. Ltd. Directed by #AdinathKothare, Paani is based on the inspiring life of Hanumant Kendre, popularly known as the “Jaldoot” of Marathwada. More than just a biopic, the film carries a strong and sensitive message about water conservation, making a deep impact on audiences and critics alike.

Paani has already carved a niche for itself by bagging 25 national and international awards, including top honors such as Best Film and Best Director. The film has become one of the most talked-about Marathi films of the year.

Even before its theatrical release, Paani received the prestigious 66th National Film Award for Best Feature Film on Environment Conservation. Adinath Kothare won the Best Actor award at the New York Film Festival. At the recently held Filmfare Awards, Paani won accolades in several categories including Best Film, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Editing, Best Sound Design, and Best Background Score.

The film continued its winning streak at the Zee Chitra Gaurav Awards with awards for Best Film, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Lyricist, Best Sound Recording, and Best Music Director. It also dominated at Radio City Cine Awards Marathi – Season 8, winning Best Film and Best Playback Singer. At the Maharashtra Times Sanman Awards, Paani won Best Film, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Music, and Best Lyricist. NDTV Marathi Awards also honored the film with awards for Best Film, Best Director, Best Story, and Best Editing.

Speaking on the film’s success, director Adinath Kothare expressed his gratitude, “This success belongs to the entire team and the audience. I am truly thankful to the viewers for their love. A heartfelt thank you to Neha Bajajtya, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Dr. Madhu Chopra, and Siddharth Chopra — this wouldn’t have been possible without them.”

For those who missed watching Paani in theatres, the film is now available on Amazon Prime in both Marathi and Hindi. Despite being based on a social issue, Paani offers a perfect blend of entertainment, music, and powerful performances.

The film features a strong ensemble cast including Adinath Kothare, Rucha Vaidya, Subodh Bhave, Rajit Kapoor, Kishore Kadam, Nitin Dixit, Sachin Goswami, Mohanabai, Shripad Joshi, and Vikas Pandurang Patil. The story is co-written by Nitin Dixit and Adinath Kothare. The producers of the film are Neha Bajajtya, the late Rajat Bajajtya, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, and Dr. Madhu Chopra, with Mahesh Kothare and Siddharth Chopra serving as co-producers.

Paani continues to receive praise for its cinematic excellence and its impactful message on water conservation, making it a landmark film in Marathi cinema.
