Mega Power Star #RamCharan who is taking over the world with his cool and composed attitude and suave sense of style. He spoke to #ETNow’s (#EntertainmentTonightUSA) Ash Crosson on how people went berserk over seeing the song on youtube even before the movie was released. Ram Charan says, “It is no longer our/#RRR’s song, but the public’s song.” He is happy that so many different cultures embraced the song all over the world even thought they can’t understand the lyrics. It has been a surreal moment for him.
Speaking of the song, he further added, “We rehearsed for 7 days. Ukraine’s president, having been an actor himself, was very kind. The entire 150 dancers and 200 crew all praticed for 7 days before shoot. The shoot took 17 days to complete.” He had lost 4 kg by the time the shoot was complete. The dance scene with NTR with the suspenders took 17 retakes, he mentioned to the host. “Rajamouli was very particular about every shot. It was his meticulous attention to detail that led to creation of the song, which has become so famous and loved across the world today,” he explained.
The global star expressed his excitement to be attending the Oscars. He said he doesn’t know if he would be attending as an actor or a fanboy. “Excited to meet Kate Blanchett and Tom Cruise, whom I have grown up watching right from Top Gun,” he exclaimed why added that he also wants to work with them.
When the Interviewer felt that RRR should have gotten more nominations. Ram Charan immediately said he was happy with all the love and admiration the movie has received from the people. The awards are just another feather in the cap.
He mentioned that he would love to work in every popular franchise. All the “woods” are coming together and merging. He would like to work with JJ Abrams, Tarantino.
Speaking of the Oscar nominee – Keeravani, he proudly said Keeravani has worked for 27 years, on 250 films. “We are there to support him and cheer him on during the Oscars,” he said.
On the personal front, he said he was excited about being a dad soon and how he is happily married for 10 years now.
