Review: O Romeo Movie Review: A Simple Story of Revenge and Growing Love!

O Romeo is a strong Indian version of Romeo and Juliet, mixing tough action, deep revenge, and one-sided love that grows slowly over time. Shahid Kapoor plays Ustara, a skilled fighter who does not love Afsha at first but develops strong feelings for her later on, while Triptii Dimri plays Afsha, giving up everything for her and even taking gunshots just to try winning her heart.
At the start, Afsha asks Ustara to kill four bad men who work for crime boss Jalal in Spain namely Jalal, Inspector Pathare, Ansari, and Shankar because they killed her husband Mehboob, played by Vikrant Massey in powerful flashbacks, after he managed Jalal’s money and wanted to quit the dangerous job. Ustara laughs at first, saying these men are too hard to kill, but when Afsha tries to shoot the inspector by herself and fails badly, Ustara comes to save her by killing Ansari with his sharp blade called ustara and even teaches her how to use guns well.
Ustara helps Afsha with revenge at first without any love, but later he develops feelings as they spend time together fighting hard to get revenge for her husband Mehboob, though Afsha feels the love growing and thinks it stops her revenge plan, so she leaves him, building the story to an exciting end where we wonder what plan Afsha makes next and whether Ustara wins or Jalal kills him.
The first half is slow to set up the story, which might feel boring, but the second half gets fast and fun, making up for the start with clear and exciting action scenes that show Ustara’s one-sided love very well, matching the title O Romeo perfectly. Other actors are great too, with Vikrant Massey shining as Mehboob in flashbacks, Nana Patekar looking scary and strong, Tamannaah adding style, Farida Jalal showing true feelings, and Hussain Dalal doing good work.
Songs are simple and help the story along. It’s a one-time watch for action fans.
