After leaving audiences intrigued with character posters and a powerful teaser, Curzon Films, in association with Purushottam Studios, has unveiled the grand trailer of Sant Tukaram. Directed by acclaimed filmmaker #AdityaOm, the film chronicles the extraordinary journey of the 17th-century saint-poet Tukaram Maharaj — a symbol of social harmony, a fearless spiritual voice, and a revolutionary who redefined devotion as a path of equality and compassion. #SubodhBhave emerges as a commanding force in the titular role, while #SheenaChohan adds emotional depth as Avalai Jija Bai. With emotionally charged moments, soaring music, and visually stunning frames, the trailer promises a larger-than-life yet intimate portrayal of a saint who turned devotion into resistance.
Set against the layered socio-spiritual landscape of 17th-century Maharashtra, the film delves into Tukaram’s transformation — from personal loss to becoming a voice for the voiceless through his electrified Abhangas. The trailer introduces us to every character and also highlights how Tukaram challenged barriers, opposed ritualistic orthodoxy, and brought Dalits and marginalized communities into the spiritual mainstream through the inclusive vision of Sanatan Dharma. Acclaimed actors such as Shiva Suryavanshi, Sheena Chohan, Sanjay Mishra, Arun Govil, Shishir Sharma, Hemant Pandey, Ganesh Yadav, Lalit Tiwari, Mukesh Bhatt, Gauri Shankar, Twinkle Kapoor, Rupali Jadhav and DJ Akbar Sami will bring to life key characters in Tukaram’s spiritual and social journey. Lending an iconic presence to the film, veteran actor Mukesh Khanna will serve as the narrator, providing philosophical insight and contextual grounding with his trademark voice and gravitas.
