Shelarmama Foundation Organises Grand Chaitra Navratri Festival!

Chaitra Navratri, which falls in the Hindu month of Chaitra, holds immense religious and cultural significance in Indian tradition. The auspicious festival begins on Chaitra Shuddha Pratipada, celebrated as Gudi Padwa, marking the start of the Hindu New Year.
To honour and celebrate this sacred occasion, the Shelarmama Foundation has taken a commendable initiative. Under the guidance of actor Sushant Shelar and his wife, Mrs. Sakshi Sushant Shelar, the ‘Kulswamini Bhairi Bhavani’ Chaitra Navratri festival is being celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm in Lower Parel from 19th March to 27th March.
This grand event has been conceptualised by Mr. Sushant Arun Shelar, President of Shelarmama Foundation, inspired by Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Eknath Shinde and under the guidance of Member of Parliament Dr. Shrikant Eknath Shinde.
The festival will be graced by the esteemed presence of several dignitaries including Hon’ble Mr. Eknath Shinde (Deputy Chief Minister, Maharashtra), Hon’ble Mr. Devendra Fadnavis (Chief Minister, Maharashtra), Mrs. Sunetra Pawar, Hon’ble Dr. Neelam Gorhe (Deputy Chairperson, Legislative Council), and Dr. Shrikant Shinde (Member of Parliament). Prominent personalities from the entertainment industry such as Saurabh Gokhale, Megha Jadhav, Vighnesh Joshi, Akshay Mudavadkar, Dr. Nikhil Rajshirkhe, Tejaswini Pandit, and Reshma Shinde are also expected to attend the celebrations.
For the past several years, the Shelarmama Foundation has been actively contributing to social, cultural, and sports initiatives. Through this Chaitra Navratri celebration in Lower Parel, the organisation aims to preserve and promote Hindu traditions, culture, and values, and to pass on this rich heritage to future generations, as shared by actor Sushant Shelar.
The festival is being held near Konkan Vaibhav, opposite Talchekarwadi School, under the Lower Parel flyover, from 19th March to 27th March 2026.
Devotees can witness and participate in various religious rituals and ceremonies including Abhishek, Shringar Puja, Mandal Puja, Paath Vachan, Navchandi Hom-Havan, Bhajans, Lalita Sahasranama recitation, Kumkum Archana, Devi Gondhal, Jagran, chanting by women priests, Ram Navami celebrations, and the final Visarjan ceremony.
The festival promises a spiritually enriching experience filled with devotion, tradition, and cultural vibrance.
