Pushpa delivered the highest opening day in Indian cinema, collecting an unprecedented ₹294 crore worldwide, instantly setting a new benchmark. It went on to become the fastest Indian film to cross ₹500 crore and ₹1,000 crore, rewriting speed records across markets. In the Hindi belt, Pushpa opened to a massive ₹72 crore on day one, establishing a new opening-day record, and went on to post an all-time Hindi lifetime collection of ₹830 crore. Beyond the numbers, Pushpa emerged as a cultural phenomenon, cementing its legacy in Indian cinema history.
Backing projects driven by strong writing and new talent, the banner has delivered films like Kumari 21F, Uppena, Virupaksha, and 18 Pages, each reflecting Sukumar’s belief in meaningful, idea-led cinema.
The release of Pushpa 2: The Rule elevated Sukumar to unprecedented heights, becoming a cultural moment that shattered records across India and overseas. More than numbers, the film reinforced his reputation as a filmmaker who seamlessly blends mass appeal with strong craft and conviction.
Looking ahead, Sukumar continues to shape the future of Telugu cinema. Peddi, starring Ram Charan, is being produced under Sukumar Writings with his creative guidance, while the much-anticipated Vrushakarma, directed by Karthik Dandu, also carries his strong creative imprint.
