#November14 is celebrated as #ChildrensDay in #India. The day spreads awareness around the rights, education and welfare of the young ones, as per wikipedia. Schools and colleges across the country usually hold special events on this day. Looking back, things have changed much in the way it was celebrated before and how it happens now. Our life has also progressed given the technological advancements. Celebs share their thoughts on how things have changed for kids today and what they think today’s kids are missing out on.

Nishant Malkhani : We can’t always blame technology for everything. The structure of the family has also changed now. Parents are also busy as they have to earn to provide for their family. I had a wonderful childhood, played a lot of outdoor games. Summer and winter holidays were super fun. I used to wait for that to come so I could go to my nani’s house. Today’s generation is too much into gadgets but during lockdown online classes through smart gadgets made things easier for all of us. Today’s kids are getting the best of the technology and it’s up to them now and also the parents who need to keep a check on the usage. I just feel the younger generation are missing playing outside in the grounds and going to friends places to mingle.

Arun Mandola : Covid-19 has impacted the lives of billions of children all over the world and has created a massive disruption in every sector including education. During that time only technology helped the entire education system. Today most of the families are staying in high rises so the kids don’t come out or go down to play. They also have long school hours. So where is the time? I always used to play outside after my school hours and then finish my homework. Personal smartphone availability is also killing the need to explore the outer world physically for the present generation.

Anupama Solanki : When we acknowledge children’s knowledge and experiences, we recognise their important contributions to our families, communities and society. So technology plays a bigger part and we should control the usage. I had a wonderful time growing up. Friends were a very important part of my life back then. Today’s generation has no personal time to mingle and chitchat. They also meet up for movies, eating out a lot more.

Pranitaa Pandit : Our childhood days were completely different from our kids. We saw mobiles coming up around the age of 20. That’s when we were exposed to connectivity. They are born with mobile phones in their hands. Of course as parents we need to work hard and try to create a balance between digital and real world because eventually it’s going to become a thin line and all these people who don’t pay attention to this, their child will go another route. It can be negative as well as positive. With technology comes exposure, risks and responsibilities. To teach responsibility to children at a very young age is difficult and is not easy. Our childhood was different because we had more human interactions and that was the only interaction we understood. Our mistakes were not documented. Little pictures found were memories that we would cherish. In today’s world everything is out there and it is advanced. I feel children are missing out on nature, pure food. They are looking at the world through their phones.

Hiten Paintal : Our childhood was so much better. We used to stay in Juhu earlier and then shifted to Lokhandwala. When we shifted, there were 40 children playing downstairs. Entire society was covered with children. Some used to play kho-kho or sonsakli and we used to make friends so easily. Even in Juhu we had amazing friends. This is what I’m missing in today’s childrens. They are all on their phones, they talk to each other on Instagram, they are busy posting on social media. There is no human interaction except for the time they spend in school or college. I remember I reached school at 8:30 pm to play volleyball till 9 pm. After three schools I used to go to tuition. Me and my friends used to go for our tuitions together. Today children are getting very lethargic. Social media has its good parts too. I tell my sister because of the video call I miss you less as we are constantly in touch. When you are not in touch with someone you miss that person. During my childhood I used to love playing, celebrate festivals together. Every evening we had so much fun. There is no human touch anymore. Every summer vacation we made sure to play badminton at 10 in the night till 4 in the morning. My words won’t do justice to the feelings I have. At that time we were living in the real world.

Anuradha Singh : There are differences between today’s kids and kids from our generation. We are from a generation who learned from their mistakes and today’s generation learns about their mistakes via Google. When it comes to family today we can see more nuclear families as compared to joint families like it used to be during earlier times. Now it’s like if there is vacation, children, instead of enjoying their vacation, join extra classes. There is no harm in learning but the thing is that during such times we went to meet our dada-dadi and nana- nani, our cousins and enjoy as well as learn so much. I feel it does not happen these days. Most memorable thing about my childhood is that I have lived each and every moment. I used to spend time with my dadi and loved gardening. When teachers used to teach anything related to plants I used to know some of them beforehand. Now it’s like children google it and gain knowledge.

Neelu Kohli : Technology has its pros and cons. When I was a child there was no technology except for telephones. We used to wait for that one phone call to come. I remember how excited I was when that first ring rang in my home. Before that I used to go to a khadoos uncle’s house to make phone calls. There was much sense of achievement back then because everything was not given to us on a platter, we had to earn everything. Even after I got married I used to use the phone which my husband was using. Children these days get everything on a platter. I feel that we used to value things as a child. But kids these days don’t have much value. Small happiness also meant a lot to us. We used to have Sundays to come so that we could eat something special. Now with Swiggy and Zomato they can order any time. Everything is easily accessible. I really cherished my childhood. If in some way we can go back to those days, I would like to relive those moments again.

Shaan Mishra : I am a 90’s kid and never had access to mobile phones or social media and we used to wait to talk to our friends on the landline. We used to maintain our decorum in front of our parents and were never out of control. I was always good at sports, co-curricular activities and studies. Today’s kids are advanced as at a very young age, they get access to phones and technology. These things have both pros and cons but most of the part is negative because the innocence is lost at a very young age. Children these days are missing the fun of playing outdoor games. This generation is completely into their phones and are missing the beautiful part of their childhood life. The western culture has influenced us a lot in many ways.

Subuhii Joshii : I think about my childhood and when I see kids these days are constantly on their phones I feel bad for them. We as kids used to go out and play. These days, I don’t see anyone playing games like kho-kho, kabaddi etc. Today’s kids don’t even have time to do anything. Their parents have made them join extra classes and what not. We also used to do our studies and then go out to play but now kids don’t engage in such things. It’s not the kids fault, that’s how times have changed. Also, the time which is left, they are mostly on their phone watching reels and YouTube videos.

#AnuAggarwal reveals, “I am writing a book and my foundation is running projects as its prime focus is on the well-being of children”. November 14 is celebrated as #ChildrensDay in #India. The day spreads awareness around the rights, education and welfare of the young ones, as per wikipedia. Schools and colleges across the country usually hold special events on this day. Looking back, things have changed much in the way it was celebrated before and how it happens now. Our life has also progressed given the technological advancements. Actor Anu Aggarwal who is also a yoga expert and director shares her thoughts on how things have changed for kids today and what she thinks today’s kids are missing out on. She also reminisces about how things were much better when she was a kid.

“This is a crucial topic because for children today things are not easy. We must remember that they are the adults of tomorrow. I feel strongly about getting them on the right track and I am writing a book on this. Children today, in cities, are born to pollution, loud noises and so on. One of the biggest things children miss out on is open air, nature, trees and hills. So I have included Nature Walks and fun ways to connect with nature classes in gardens, a few we have in cities,” she says, adding that life earlier, when she was a kid, was simpler, healthier and much better.

Speaking on the scientific advancements and social media revolution, Anu feels that these things did not have a positive effect on children. She explains why and adds how it has affected their mental health too.

“The social media and technology, no matter how advanced and a part of our progressive evolution, is playing havoc with the mental health of children today. There are cases of brain-emotional damage happening to children due to watching or playing certain viral games at night. Their sleep patterns are getting affected while their focus capacity in the day is getting shorter and shorter. Attention span shorter and attention deficit are also results of these things. Mental disturbances, suicides, anxiety, depression, are increasing. I made Anufunyoga to train children’s minds, in a fun way, to tackle this malice by programming their minds to think well, be kind, stay positive no matter what; keeping calm is becoming more and more the need of the hour. Laughter, joy should be awakened in them,” says the actor of Aashiqui fame.

Sukhleen Aneja, CEO of FMCG & Beauty Brands The Good Glamm Group, says, “With our innovative range of products, what we do need is to build communities that resonate with the brand, and that’s where #MomsTalk, a BabyChakra and The Moms Co community initiative , come into the picture. India’s first community meet-up series for moms and having such a strong social purpose will surely help the brands grow holistically. With The Moms Co and BabyChakra, we wish to inspire communities to experience clinically proven toxin-free products for the mum and baby.

Adding to this, Malika Sadani, Founder & CEO, The Moms Co shared, “It is important to feel safe while sharing struggles faced without the fear of being judged. It also helps others when they know that they aren’t the only ones facing similar challenges. Through MomsTalk, we want to establish that we are creating a safe space for all moms. The Moms Co has always been a strong advocate for ‘Love without compromise’, and a safe space to share struggles and triumphs through the journey of motherhood is extremely important to achieve that.”

Kreeanne Rabadi, Regional Director, CRY – West commented, “We are very happy to associate with The Moms Co, BabyChakra and the Good Glamm Group for the important initiative of mothers coming together to support the children of CRY. It is special to see their property MomsTalk, India’s first community meet-up series exclusively for moms, also have such a strong social purpose to it. It is wonderful when startups have such a strong social mission rooted into the work they do and support causes like ours.”

BabyChakra (part of the Good Glamm Group) recently announced its partnership with C.R.Y. where it supports child health, nutrition, education, and safety by giving a part of its proceeds to C.R.Y. Throughout this festive season, a part of every purchase via the BabyChakra App & Website goes to supporting C.R.Y. The Moms Co, through #MomsTalks joins hands in supporting this noble cause and committing to also support CRY through this series of community meetups.

The post #MomsTalk – India’s first nationwide mom community – supports C.R.Y.! first appeared on Latest News, Breaking News, National News, World News, India News, Bollywood News, Business News, Politics News, Sports News, Entertainment News - CineBuster.

To celebrate #ChildrensDay, #ZeeTheatre’s specially curated teleplays to rekindle the innocence of childhood, ‘#ShyamKiMummy’, ‘#MayaFindYourLight’, and ‘#DaakGhar’.

Plays for children are a less explored genre though veterans like #PLDeshpande, #QudsiaZaidi, #SaiParanjpye, #PoileSengupta and even #GurudevRabindranathTagore, among others have done their bit in different epochs to tell enriching stories to a younger audience. This Children’s Day, Zee Theatre especially curates an offering of three such plays that bring back all the magic, wonder and nostalgia we associate with childhood.

Ashok Patole’s ‘Shyam Ki Mummy’ : Noted Marathi playwright, Ashok Patole, known for plays like ‘Maa Retire Hoti Hai’ and ‘Ek Chavat Sandhyakaal’ has always incorporated socially relevant messages in his work and ‘Shyam Ki Mummy’ is no different. Jointly directed by Dnyanesh Bhalekar and Purshottam Berde, the play is a take on the flaws of the modern education system, and depicts how a 12th grader, Shyam is denied fun and joy in the pursuit of the highest rank in his Board exams. His mother, a bank officer, even takes an annual leave to monitor her child! Watch the play to see the ‘result’ of these hectic exam preparations. The play stars Nirmiti Sawant, Milind Phatak, Dharmaj Joshi, Rahul Kumar, and Sayali Sudhakar.

Shaheen Mistri’s ‘Maya: Find Your Light’ : Who does not want to travel to a charmed wonderland? This transportive, musical and motivational play written by Shaheen Mistri sets our imagination free with the story of 13-year-old Maya. She is the princess of the ‘Kingdom of Light’ and is entrusted with the responsibility of defeating the evil king of darkness. Accompanied by a goofy peacock, and a beloved snake, she undertakes a journey that eventually becomes a life-transforming experience for her. The play, entirely enacted by child artists, portrays the importance of ‘finding your light’, trusting one’s voice, believing in yourself, and being brave irrespective of the odds. Jointly directed by Sanaya Bharucha and Laurent Festas, it stars Khushi Chauhan, Prasad Kela, Priyanka Patil, Rutuja Bhoite, Shlok Sadlapurka, Yash Agarwal, and Aniket Sahani.

Rabindranath Tagore’s ‘Daak Ghar’ : Rabindranath Tagore created seminal literary works for children and ‘Daak Ghar’ is one such poignant play. Written in 1912, it is set in rural Bengal and delves into the psyche of an orphan boy, Amal, who is suffering from an incurable disease. His only contact with the outside world is a window and one day, he gets to know about a ‘Daak Ghar’ or a post office that the King will be opening near his house. Instantly, he begins to dream of becoming a postmaster and to meet the King. Watch the play to know if Amal’s wish ever comes true. Directed by the National Award-winning director, Nagesh Kukunoor, the play stars Krrish Chhabria, Saurabh Goel, Kumar Rajput, Kishor Chandra Srivastava, and Anupriya Goenka.

The post Zee Theatre’s specially curated teleplays for Children’s Day! first appeared on Latest News, Breaking News, National News, World News, India News, Bollywood News, Business News, Politics News, Sports News, Entertainment News - CineBuster.

With the release of “#RocketGang” today around the country, #AdityaSeal is prepared to provide audiences with a distinctive entertainer. The dancing horror comedy that will usher in #ChildrensDay this year promises to make both the kid and adult in you scream and have you laughing out loud, making it the ideal family entertainer.

Aditya Seal stars in the Bosco Martis-directed film “Rocket Gang,” which combines amazing music and energetic dance routines. For his part in the movie, the actor undertook extensive training that included seminars and dancing practice. As implied by the movie’s name, “Rocket Gang,” it was crucial for the entire group to develop a sincere relationship, which Aditya focused on during the acting classes. Considering that the movie was made during the pandemic, over the course of three years, the team would communicate by phone and video conferences to keep in touch, motivated, and ultimately, they became buddies.

Aditya Seal claims that when the epidemic struck, children were the ones who were most impacted, and attending to the movies was put on the back burner. The whole family may have fun watching a movie like “Rocket Gang” together. With a youthful, lively, and engaging crew, we had a pleasure producing this movie, and I hope audiences love it as much as we did. “The chemistry and relationship you see on film in ‘Rocket Gang’ mirrors the camaraderie and friendship we all have had. The actor continued, “We overcame everything, and I couldn’t be more thrilled”.

Rocket Gang, starring Aditya Seal, is currently playing in theatres near you. Amar Prem, Sunny Singh, and more intriguing new roles are among the actor’s next interesting projects.

The post “‘Rocket Gang’ is the perfect entertainer for kids and the entire family”, says Aditya Seal! first appeared on Latest News, Breaking News, National News, World News, India News, Bollywood News, Business News, Politics News, Sports News, Entertainment News - CineBuster.

#ChildrensDay is observed every year on November 14 as a tribute to #JawaharlalNehru, who was fondly called #ChachaNehru. To celebrate this day, a few celebrities from the industry have shared their favourite childhood memory and also their favourite song.

Ridhiema Tiwari : I grew up on a residential campus of a school in Valsad. My most favorite memory is walking up to school holding my brother’s hand. It was a 5-minute beautiful nature walk with huge playgrounds and a hostel for boys starting from senior kg till the 12th. We lived on campus in the same discipline like the hostel boys since my parents were teachers on campus. As a child I had early morning PT and yoga classes and lived in an extremely protective environment. Though I didn’t value it then, today when I look back, I miss the space, the parks, the goshala and I do miss the mess serving the best of Gujarati food.

As a child I cried at the drop of a hat and my teachers called me pani ki tank and I found Rote Rote Hasna seekho very intriguing even then. Ironically much later in life, it became the philosophy of my life.

Nupur Joshi : I was pampered and spoilt one. During summer vacations, the house used to be on fire with all my cousins, uncles and aunts to brighten up the madness. I used to record rhymes and songs on empty tapes, and in the process sometimes ended up spoiling a few original tapes from my father’s collections leading to, I think I should leave that for your imaginations, hehe.

My favorite song was Cun chun karti aayi chidiya.

Ranaksh Rana : I have childhood memories but I want to bring out that not all childhoods are rosy and happy. I grew up in a remote village in UP and I worked really hard to be where I am.

I do miss sitting by the canal, listening to the sound of water, running around in the farm, playing with the horses, getting kicked by the horses and then getting scolded for it. These are the real memories.

Harssh A Singh : My favorite childhood memory is spending those cool summer nights on the terrace. I grew up in Ludhiana, Punjab and in summers or just after monsoons in September we used to sleep on charpais on the terrace. Mom used to let me curl up next to her and we used to have those rotating fans that used to blow the white covers off you every time the fans rotated towards you. Me and my sister used to argue about who would sleep closer to the fans and so we used to take turns on the closer charpai. My grandmother would read out from comics like Champak and Amar Chitra Katha so Chacha Choudhary and other characters were our bedtime stories.

What I miss about my childhood is how we used to play every evening. In Model Town Ludhiana, evenings meant all the neighborhood kids would get together and play Stapu or Pithu or Uunch Maangi Neench, L-O-N-D-O-N London, Tippi Tippi Tap, Pakkadam Pakkadai, or simply jump on a bicycle and ride the streets. Mumbai is so restricted when it comes to kids playing. I miss the camaraderie and the uncomplicated games. I miss the fact that you could go to any one of my playmates’ houses and their moms would feed us – could be 5, could be 10 kids, all were fed. That’s a small town benefit I guess.

Harshali Zine : Every phase of childhood has fond memories. Like when my dad got me my 1st Barbie doll and a big toy house to play with. Then when my dad got me my 1st keyboard. Whenever I used to win a dancing and singing competition in school and inter school competitions, I would get a gift. The most beautiful and emotional would be the time I got to spend with my elder sister before we grew up and left home for further studies. Since both my parents were working, my sister was like my guardian, my teacher, my best friend. She knew all my secrets. She used to narrate beautiful stories at night to me and my younger brother and tell us about the universe and planets. She would never tell my mom about the complaints my class teachers would make about me. She always had my back. I always felt so protected in her presence. I think I miss that part of my childhood the most. Also, singing old classic duets with my dad. Ours was a musical family and in between singing and dancing we grew up. It feels like that was another lifetime. Although I cherish those memories, I’m happier now being independent on my own.

“Nanha munna rahi hoon, desh ka sipahi hoon ,bolo mere sang jai hind jai hind jai hind”, because I’m born on 15th August, India’s Independence day, so since childhood I always felt like a krantikari and coincidently my mother called me Munna. The song was custom made for me.

#ChildrensDay is observed every year on November 14 as a tribute to #JawaharlalNehru, who was fondly called #ChachaNehru. To celebrate this day, a few celebrities from the industry have shared their favourite childhood memory and also their favourite song.

Nidarshana Gowani : My favorite memory is waiting for Sunday’s because during those days on Doordarshan we could see cartoons from 9 am to 10 am, in the afternoon we would play outdoor games and in the evening at 7.30 pm there was a movie on Doordarshan. I grew up in Indore, Madhya Pradesh and I miss the old culture, and how innocent and simple life was and how small things gave the most joy.

My favorite children’s song is Lakdi ki kathi.

Saurabh Agarwal : I grew up in Allahabad now Prayagraj so all my childhood memories are from there. I always wanted to play and detested studies, so as a child my most loveable time was when I started playing badminton at the age of 8. I started playing pretty well and learned the technique quite soon and even represented my city/district and my state too as number one. The blessing in disguise was when my school St Joseph College also started treating me as a star player who is giving a good name to school in sports category and they acknowledged it by giving me a 20% grace marks as a sportsman, (as most of the time I was traveling or busy coaching) and that really helped me out in passing all my grades with minimum studies.

Prateik Chaudhary : My most favorite childhood memory was when I was in school. I was a very naughty kid and I used to be in the principal’s office every third or fourth day. I used to bunk school a lot, because I used to hate getting up early. My teachers used to get annoyed so much that they would always punish me. So, in school, either I would be at the last bench or I would be kneeling down outside the classroom. Only reason I wasn’t expelled was because I was very good at other activities like dance and sports. I have won many trophies and certificates for my school.

My favourite children’s songs are many, and it’s very difficult to choose one. But my most favourite was Nanha munna rahi hun.

Pragati Mehra : My most favorite childhood memories would be the grand birthday parties my parents threw for me year after year after year till I became a teenager. They used to be massive affairs, more like weddings. I would be pampered like a queen. Another huge memory is spending my two month summer break in Kashmir – my nanihal (my mom is a Kashmiri) so going to Srinagar and jamming with all extended cousins from my mom’s side was the best part of the trip.

I don’t really remember any favorite song. My favorite actor was Dharmendra and my mom tells me I used to keep humming Dheere Dheere Bol koi sun na le.
