Team ‘Krantijyoti Vidyalaya Marathi Madyam’ Launches ‘Marathi School Initiative’!
The film Krantijyoti Vidyalaya – Marathi Madhyam, which highlights the importance of Marathi schools and touches the hearts of audiences, has become the talk of the town. Garnering immense appreciation, the movie has collected ₹24.03 crore in just four weeks. Audiences of all age groups have showered it with love, with several screenings running houseful and receiving overwhelmingly positive feedback.
Following this success, the filmmakers have launched a special campaign titled “Marathi School Initiative” dedicated to Marathi-medium schools. Under this plan, special discounted shows are being organized exclusively for Marathi schools, their students, and teachers. The main purpose of these screenings is to strengthen the emotional and cultural bond students and teachers share with Marathi-medium education and its heritage. For Marathi schools, this film is both a sentimental and socially significant experience. Several charitable organizations and alumni groups have come forward to help organize these special screenings, ensuring that more Marathi schools can watch the film at affordable ticket rates.
Director Hemant Dhome shared his thoughts, saying, “The love from the audience is truly an honor, but the greatest satisfaction comes from seeing students and teachers of Marathi schools connect personally with the film. They see themselves and their stories reflected on screen. Krantijyoti Vidyalaya – Marathi Madhyam celebrates Marathi schools and the cultural value of the Marathi language. We launched the Marathi School Initiative to ensure this message reaches as many schools, students, and teachers as possible through discounted shows.”
The film stars veteran actor Sachin Khedekar in the role of a headmaster, alongside Amey Wagh, Siddharth Chandekar, Kshitee Jog, Kadambari Kadam, Harish Dudhade, Pushkaraj Chirputkar, Nirmitee Sawant, and Prajakta Koli (making her Marathi film debut). Produced by Chalchitra Mandali, the film is written and directed by Hemant Dhome, with Kshitee Jog as producer, and co-producers Viraj Gawas, Urfi Kazmi (Crazy Few Films), and Ajinkya Dhamal.
