The forgotten love story from history, RavRambha!

Love stories are the backbone of Indian films. And in recent times Historical love stories are coming to the fore, especially in Marathi cinema. As such we are familiar with many love stories in history. One such unique love story hidden in the pages of history is all set to hit the Marathi silver screen. Actor Om Bhootkar, who won the hearts of the audience with his powerful performance in ‘Mulshi Pattern’ and beautiful and talented actress Monalisa Bagal will be reprising the titular roles in RavRambha, poster of which was released recently.

Against the background of a saffron flag fluttering in the sky, ‘Rao’ and ‘Rambha’, i.e. Om Budhkar and Monalisa Bagal, are seen together, accompanied by horsemen running. Om and Monalisa’s warrior look depicts beauty and their chemistry looks authentic in this attractive poster. It shows the willingness to do anything for each other. In the pages of history, ‘Ravarambha’ is a neglected chapter. This love story is not just a love story but it has a strong touch of reality.

Producer Shashikant Sheela Bhausaheb Pawar and director Anup Jagdale will bring this love story in the theatres. Director Anup Jagdale says that the story has an edge of bravery, sacrifice and dedication towards Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, loyalty to him and Swarajya. The movie will feature Shantanu Moghe as Chhatrapati and Ashok Samarth as Prataprao Gujar.

The movie ‘Ravarambha’ under Shashikant Pawar production has screenplay and dialogues by Pratap Gangawane. Cinematography is by Sanjay Jadhav and editing is done by Faisal Mahadik. The co-producers are Ajit Bhosale and Sanjay Jagdale while the executive producers are Mahesh Bharambe, Anvay Naikodi. Lyrics are penned by Guru Thakur and Kshitij Patwardhan and the music composer is Amitraj. Background music is by Aditya Bedekar. Costumes are by Poornima Oak. Art Direction is by Vasu Patil. Action is choreographed by Shevolin Malesh. VFX is handled by Watt Studio and Jayesh Malkapure. The soundtrack is by Dinesh Uchil, Shantanu Akerkar. Prashant Nalwade is the production manager.
