‘The Kerala Story 2’ Intense Character Posters Unveiled!

Vipul Amrutlal Shah, one of India’s finest filmmakers and producers, has built a formidable legacy with films that have stayed etched in audience memory. From Aankhen and Namastey London to Singh Is Kinng, Force, Commando: A One Man Army and Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty, his body of work reflects a bold choice of subjects and impactful storytelling. With The Kerala Story, Shah reaffirmed his fearless filmmaking, with the film earning the tag of a rare Black Swan event, winning two National Awards, and emerging as one of the most influential films ever.

Taking that legacy forward, he now returns with The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond, a sequel that promises to be darker, deeper and far more unsettling than the first chapter. Directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Kamakhya Narayan Singh, the film has already generated strong buzz ever since its teaser dropped, hinting at another hard-hitting and spine-chilling narrative.

Ahead of the film’s release, the makers unveiled the character posters of the film’s leading women, Ulka Gupta, Aishwarya Ojha and Aditi Bhatia, and the visuals are nothing short of haunting. Each poster features an intense close-up, with half the face concealed under a burqa, revealing only a tear-filled eye, while the other half lays bare bruised faces streaked with tears. The striking imagery offers a disturbing glimpse into the unspeakable horrors their characters have endured, setting the tone for a story that aims to go far beyond comfort zones.

The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond tells the disturbing story of three Hindu girls whose lives spiral into fear and trauma after they fall in love with three Muslim men, relationships that slowly uncover a hidden and calculated plan of religious conversion.

Following the massive impact of The Kerala Story, which shook audiences nationwide with its bold narrative, the sequel promises to push boundaries even further, going beyond comfort, beyond silence, and beyond denial. Directed by Kamakhya Narayan Singh, The Kerala Story 2- Goes Beyond is produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, co-produced by Aashin A Shah under the banner Sunshine Pictures. The film is slated to release in cinemas on 27th February, 2026.
