‘The Kerala Story’ Director Sudipto Sen’s Charak: Fair of Faith Unveils Powerful Track “Ghor Aghor,”!

The makers of folklore thriller film Charak: Fair of Faith have officially released their title track #GhorAghor calling it the most faithful song of the year and the response has already begun pouring in.

Produced by Sudipto Sen, best known for The Kerala Story, Charak: Fair of Faith explores the many dimensions of belief. The song is soulfully rendered by Bishakh Jyoti and Kinjal Chatterjee, whose powerful vocals elevate the spiritual fervour of the track.

Anant has penned the soulful lyrics. Composed by Bishakh Jyoti, the song creates an atmosphere charged with faith and divine energy, perfectly aligning with the film’s core theme. Rooted deeply in devotion and spiritual intensity, “Ghor Aghor” celebrates unwavering belief, surrender, and the powerful emotion that defines the spirit of the Charak festival.

Composer and Singer Bishakh Jyoti shared, “When I first received the brief for this song from producer Sudipto da and director Shieladitya, we knew it demanded thorough research, especially since it is rooted in the Charak festival and Bengal’s traditional folk music. Most of these songs are centuries old, and given how sensitive Bengalis are about their music, it felt like a huge responsibility. I was nervous initially, but the constant support from the entire team, made the process smooth and fulfilling. We were also searching for a fresh voice, and when Kinjal Chatterjee recorded the track, the entire team instantly felt he was the perfect fit.”

Charak, starring Anjali Patil, Sahidur Rahaman, Subrat Dutta, Shashi Bhushan, Nalneesh Neel, Shankhadeep, and Shounak Shyamal, delves into real-life situations involving blind faith and occult practices in India’s hinterlands.

Presented by Dr. Jayantilal Gada (PEN Studios), the film is slated to hit cinemas on March 6, 2026. Directed by Shieladitya Moulik, Charak is produced by Sipping Tea Cinemas, in association with Sudipto Sen Productions, with Rajesh Bhatt serving as the associate producer.
