The Makers of ‘Raja Shivaji’, unveil a BTS video of the filming of the “Raja Shivaji Anthem,” titled “Chhatrapati’!

The much-awaited historical film “Raja Shivaji,” presented by Jio Studios and Mumbai Film Company, has generated tremendous curiosity among audiences, which has now reached an even higher peak. After the makers recently released a powerful poster that became the talk of the town, they have now unveiled a grand and energizing BTS (behind-the-scenes) video of the filming of the “Raja Shivaji Anthem,” titled “Chhatrapati.” This BTS video offers a glimpse of the film’s majestic scale, the power of its music, and the hard work of the entire team, further raising expectations from this epic historical saga.

This song has been composed by the renowned music composer duo Ajay–Atul, who have also rendered it in their own powerful voices. The BTS video showcases the creation of a grand, forceful, and towering musical arrangement designed to elevate the big-screen experience. Every beat, every note, and every frame reflects meticulous effort, which clearly comes through in the video. Earlier, the chorus of this anthem had been released and received an enthusiastic response from the audience; now the excitement for the full song is at its peak.

This ambitious film is directed by Ritesh Vilasrao Deshmukh, who also serves as writer and producer, while portraying Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj himself, thus shouldering a triple responsibility with great conviction. His multifaceted involvement is expected to take the film to another level. The film boasts a stellar ensemble cast including Sanjay Dutt, Abhishek Bachchan, Vidya Balan, Mahesh Manjrekar, Sachin Khedekar, Boman Irani, Bhagyashree, Fardeen Khan, Jitendra Joshi, Amol Gupte, and Genelia Deshmukh.

The “Raja Shivaji Anthem” – “Chhatrapati” – is slated to release on 13 April, and through this song, an attempt has been made to convey the soul, valour, and inspiration of Hindavi Swarajya to the new generation in a powerful manner. Combining music, visuals, and emotional highs, this anthem is widely being spoken of as the very soul of the film.

“Raja Shivaji” is presented by Jio Studios and produced by Mumbai Film Company, with Jyoti Deshpande and Genelia Deshmukh backing the project. Based on the life and legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, “Raja Shivaji” is set to release worldwide on 1 May 2026 in both Marathi and Hindi.
