#Maharashtra has a versatile history for almost one and half decade till the formation of Maharashtra on May 1st 1960 as a unilingual state Marathi speaking people from Konkan, Western Maharashtra, Vidarbha and Marathwada. One of the important landmarks of Mumbai, #HutatmaSmarak at #HutatmaChowk built in memory of Martyrs of Sanyukta Maharashtra Movement.

Father of the nation, Mahatma Gandhi, once said, ‘Maharashtra is the bee-hive of dedicated workers for noble causes.’ And to award and recognise many such creative individuals of society in Mumbai, Maharashtraachi Girishikhre awards, a diamond jubilee function will be organised for Sanyukta Maharashtra movement on December 26th 2021.

The ceremony will proceed with a spectacular Marathi Cultural feast. The function will be held on 26th December 2021 between 3 pm to 10 pm at Rangsharda Natyamandir, Near Lilavati Hospital, Bandra (W).

A colorful cultural programme will be performed by classical and folk artists at the event. And celebs like Amol Palekhar, Sunil Gavaskar, Rohini Hattangadi, Bhimrao Panchale, Suresh Wadkar, Usha Mangeshkar, Anita Dongre, Asha Khadilkar, Tejaswani Sawant and many more will be awarded.

The prestigious award specially designed by the award gallery will be conferred by the hands of Hon. Governor of Maharashtra, Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari and Hon. Home minister of Maharashtra, Shri Dilip Walse Patil.

On this auspicious occasion a award titled Maharashtraachi Girishikhre will be given to fifty eminent personalities from different fields. More than twenty among these fifty personalities were honoured by the Government of India with civilian awards.
