Review : Another Simple Favour : Thrilling Ride!
Another Simple Favor is a thrilling ride that grabs you from the very first moment. The movie opens with a shocking twist: Emily’s (#BlakeLively) husband has been murdered. Then, we go back in time to uncover how everything led to that point.
The story follows Stephanie (#AnnaKendrick), a mom, author, and influencer who’s known for writing crime books inspired by her own investigations. Her latest book, The Faceless Blonde, is about Emily, who once disappeared after asking Stephanie for a simple Favor. As Stephanie starts digging into Emily’s past, she uncovers dark secrets, lies, and even a murder. Things get even more intense when Emily shows up at the book launch and manipulates Stephanie into attending her wedding with the threat of pressing charges if she doesn’t. That’s when the mystery really kicks off, and you’ll be hooked, trying to figure out what’s going on.
The performances are what make this movie so fun. Anna Kendrick is spot on as Stephanie. She starts as this sweet, a little awkward mom who seems harmless, but as the story progresses, we see just how strong, smart, and brave she is. You end up really rooting for her as she uncovers one surprise after another.
Blake Lively is unforgettable as Emily. Every time she’s onscreen, you can’t help but watch her. She plays Emily with so much style, confidence, and just the right amount of danger. Blake makes Emily seem like the perfect, untouchable woman but also lets us catch little glimpses of the broken, complicated person underneath. Her performance keeps you guessing about who Emily really is, and that mystery is a big part of what makes the movie so exciting.
We also meet #MicheleMorrone as Dante, an Italian businessman with a dark past. He’s now Emily’s fiancé, and his presence adds a whole new layer of danger and intrigue to the plot. Dante is charming but unpredictable, and his character keeps the suspense high.
The story leaves you with plenty of unanswered questions, making it clear that more is coming. Fans of Another Simple Favor will definitely want a sequel, as the plot is far from finished. #PaulFeigs direction adds a fun, stylish touch to the film. He mixes humour with darker moments, so even when things get intense, the movie still feels light. The colourful costumes, luxurious settings, and upbeat French music make it feel like a fashionable thriller, not just a heavy mystery. The fast pace and constant twists keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish.
If you enjoy thrilling mysteries with plenty of twists and memorable characters, Another Simple Favor is a must-watch.
