The 80s look from ‘Asambhav’ becomes the talk of the town!
While social media continues to buzz with new trends every day, the Marathi film industry has recently caught on to a unique and fascinating one. Inspired by director Sachit Patil’s film Asambhav, the trending hashtag #Asambhav80s has taken over the internet, spreading rapidly from celebrities to audiences alike.
Using AI technology, many popular Marathi actors have recreated 1980s-inspired looks and shared them on social media. Among them are Sumit Raghavan, Ankush Chaudhari, Avadhoot Gupte, Subodh Bhave, Abhijeet Panse, Anand Ingale, Santosh Juvekar, Pushkar Shrotri, Suyash Tilak, Priya Berde, Resham Tipnis, Kavita Lad, and Gauri Kulkarni, among many others. Fans are enthusiastically reacting to these retro avatars, adding fuel to the already viral trend.The reason behind the #Asambhav80s craze is the glamorous 1980s aesthetic showcased in Asambhav. The costumes, color palette, set design, and styling from the movie have become major talking points, captivating audiences even before the film’s release. The buzz on social media has significantly boosted curiosity among viewers.
Directed by #SachitPatil, Asambhav also features Pushkar Shrotri as co-director. The film marks the first on-screen collaboration of four talented Marathi actors — Sachit Patil, Mukta Barve, Priya Bapat, and Sandeep Kulkarni. Produced by Sachit Patil and Nitin Prakash Vaidya under Mumbai Pune Films Entertainment, the film is co-produced by Sharmishtha Raut and Tejas Desai from Ericon Telefilms, along with Mangesh Parulekar and Sanjay Potdar of P&P Entertainment. Asambhav hits theaters across Maharashtra starting today.
