Nitesh Tiwari’s New Indie Film ‘Ganja Express’!
The independent film circuit is buzzing as #NiteshTiwaris upcoming feature Ganja Express gains momentum ahead of its release. Early industry chatter points to a film rich in drama, strong performances, and a narrative style that promises to stand apart in today’s fast-evolving Bollywood landscape.
Supported by S Sameer Films Production, The N.R.T Entertainment, HP & Company, and BB Entertainment, the project brings together a production team known for backing unconventional stories and emerging directorial voices.
Nitesh Tiwari, also known as Nitesh Kumar Tiwari, comes from Ethelbari in Siliguri, West Bengal. Over the years, he has built a reputation as a multi-talented artist — working across music, writing, and direction — with a creative approach that blends emotional storytelling and grounded realism.
Before moving fully into filmmaking, Tiwari developed a solid background in music, releasing a range of compositions across prominent digital platforms. His experience in crafting melodies and emotional textures now influences the tone and rhythm of his cinematic work.
Rising Recognition in Independent Cinema
Tiwari drew industry attention with Machaan, a film praised for its raw and realistic narrative. Earlier, he contributed to the direction of the award-winning film Ek Aasha, which tells the powerful story of the Kinnar (transgender) community.
Ek Aasha garnered more than 22 national and international awards, establishing Tiwari as a filmmaker willing to engage with socially relevant and meaningful subjects. His growing portfolio positions him among Bollywood’s most promising young directors.
Early insiders describe Ganja Express as a project that aims to break the formula of traditional indie filmmaking. With Tiwari’s vision, a motivated production team, and increasing curiosity surrounding the storyline, the film is already being watched closely within industry circles.
As anticipation builds, Ganja Express is shaping up to become one of the standout independent releases of the year.
