Border 2 Producer Bhushan and Director Anurag Singh Express Admiration Towards Varun Dhawan’s Passion for His Craft!

Varun Dhawan is on a roll with Border 2 coming off as his most ambitious project yet, and with the praises pouring in from producer Bhushan Kumar and director Anurag Singh, it only throws light on his range as an actor. Recently, Bhushan Kumar and Anurag Singh revealed what made them see Col. Hoshiyar Singh Dahiya in Varun Dhawan, further expressing admiration for his ability to switch between genres.

“Varun has never done something like this before, but Anurag Singh was confident that we could make him do something that the audiences have never seen him do. Varun is a brilliant actor and he’s deeply passionate about his craft, so he has pulled off this role with deep passion – and his hardwork is clearly visible on the screens,” explains producer Bhushan Kumar.

As Border 2 makes waves, director Anurag Singh reminds audiences not to forget that Varun is the same actor who can be the boy-next-door in Student of the Year, and can also serve a spine-chilling performance in Badlapur.

“I think people forget that he’s the same actor who’s done Badlapur after doing something like Student of the Year. I was stunned with his ability to switch. If I was thinking of onboarding Varun, I’d be going to the same Varun who could show that kind of range. I love his work in October, and I wanted _that_ Varun in Border 2. He’s a damn good actor and he’s got his own capability. When he came on sets, he started hitting the notes almost instantly. People should not forget his range,” he says. Further, the director remarked in jest that people are apologizing after judging his performance way before the film released.

Varun Dhawan’s performance is strongly translating into excellent box office numbers. On Day 2, Border 2 collected an impressive Rs.72.69 crore, and it continues to soar on a positive word of mouth and rave reviews.
