When two Aamir Khans took over the sets!

Backed by Aamir Khan Productions, Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos emerged as one of the most awaited releases of 2026. Positioned as a quirky spy comedy, the film stars #VirDas, Mona Singh, and Mithila Palkar in pivotal roles, while also marking Vir Das’ directorial debut. Following months of strong anticipation driven by its trailer and songs, the film finally hit theatres to largely positive word of mouth and encouraging box-office momentum. What truly built perfect momentum ahead of the release, however, were its quirky promotional videos, especially the one in which #SunilGrover played Aamir Khan.

While the video of Sunil Grover portraying Aamir Khan showcased the kind of fun the film promised on screen and garnered tremendous love from audiences, the recently released BTS footage is even more entertaining. Watching Sunil slip seamlessly into Aamir’s persona, and seeing the two ‘Aamirs’ take over the sets, is an absolute blast and pure fun to witness.

Aamir Khan Productions is known for championing stories that stand apart, from Lagaan and Taare Zameen Par to Dangal and Secret Superstar. Continuing that legacy, the banner reunites with Vir Das for Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos. A globally loved comedian and actor, known for his acclaimed stand-up specials and roles in Go Goa Gone, Badmaash Company, and cult favourite Delhi Belly, Vir Das teams up with the production house once again after Delhi Belly for this latest outing.

Produced under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions, Happy Patel is directed by Vir Das and released in theatres on 16th January 2026.
