Indian National Cine Academy Awards (INCA) to Be Held in Mumbai on April 15–16!
The first edition of the Indian National Cine Academy Awards (INCA Awards) has been officially announced, with the grand ceremony scheduled to take place on April 15 and 16 in Mumbai.
INCA is the country’s first national film academy platform that brings together 12 major film industries of India onto a single stage. Moving beyond language differences and regional boundaries, this visionary initiative aims to collectively and fairly honour the scale, diversity, and global significance of Indian cinema. The initiative is expected to become an important milestone in giving institutional form to the cultural unity of the Indian film industry.
The concept of INCA has been envisioned by the founders and mentors associated with initiatives such as the Celebrity Cricket League and the South Indian International Movie Awards, and the initiative is being led by Vishnu Vardhan Induri. The Producers Guild of India is serving as the principal institutional partner, lending credibility, a broad vision, and standards comparable to leading global academies. The first INCA Awards will be presented with Kalyan Jewellers as the presenting sponsor, a partnership built on shared values of excellence, tradition, and trust, further strengthening the scale and stature of the event.
The INCA structure is based on an academy-style honours system, with transparency, peer recognition, and credibility at its core. Each of the 12 Indian language film industries will feature major awards including Best Film, Best Actor, and Best Actress. In addition, national-level (All-India) awards will honour achievements in direction, performance, music, technical excellence, and debut, celebrating both regional pride and national excellence.
INCA has invited producers and directors to submit official entries for Marathi films released in 2025.
Eligibility: Marathi films released between January 1 and December 31, 2025
Submission Deadline: March 1, 2026
Registration Website: www.INCA.in
INCA is not merely an awards ceremony; it is a significant national initiative representing the unified cultural expression of the Indian film industry.
