Yuvraj Sambhaji Raje Chhatrapati Lauds Riteish Deshmukh’s ‘Raja Shivaji’!
Jio Studios and Mumbai Film Company’s Raja Shivaji is scoring big at the box office ever since it made its theatrical debut on May 1 on the special occasion of Maharashtra Day. Amid the rave reviews pouring in from critics across the Marathi and Hindi languages, Raja Shivaji has earned a special appreciation from Yuvraj Sambhaji Raje Chhatrapati, the 13th direct descendant of one of India’s greatest warrior kings, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. A warm post mentioned that a special screening of the film was organised through Yuvrajni Sanyogitaraje Chhatrapati in Kolhapur. The post further applauded the “excellent” performances of the star cast and also emphasised that the film “appropriately portrays the contributions of Shivaji Maharaj’s elder brother Sambhaji Raje, the visionary of Swarajya Shahaji Maharaj, and Rajmata Jijau Maasahib.”

Jai Shivray!” Meanwhile, Raja Shivaji continues to maintain its strong hold at the box office by making an excellent collection of Rs.37.00 crore net from the time of its release.

Raja Shivaji, a historical epic based on the life and legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, has been released in cinemas worldwide on 1 May 2026 in Marathi and Hindi, bringing to life an epic that celebrates India’s history with scale, soul, and spectacle.
