The Narmada Story

The Narmada Story Releases Rousing Anthem Celebrating Khaki, Women’s Strength and Patriotism!

The Narmada Story, inspired by real-life IPS officer #SimalaPrasad, has released a stirring anthem that honors the bravery and dedication of the Madhya Pradesh Women Police. The song pulses with patriotism, courage, and a firm celebration of women’s empowerment, placing the pride of khaki at its heart.
The anthem begins with Simala Prasad in uniform leading training drills with a battalion of women officers. Visuals throughout emphasize duty, resolve, and fearlessness—culminating in a dramatic street arrest scene where Simala apprehends a criminal, underscoring justice and bravery.

National pride and commitment to service run through the piece.
In the anthem’s latter section, National Award–winner #AnjaliPatil appears as a resolute constable, #ZarinaWahab is shown spearheading a protest, and #AshwiniKalsekar delivers emotionally charged moments that underline resilience. These sequences weave together themes of female empowerment, social resistance, and inner strength.

The video also includes memorable appearances by Raghubir Yadav, Mukesh Tiwari, and Ishtiyak Khan. Its closing image—Simala Prasad loading a pistol—serves as a potent emblem of justice and defiance. The lyrics pay homage to valor, patriotism, and the honor of the khaki, while celebrating the spirit of women who serve.

Music and lyrics are by Manik Batra, and the film is directed by award-winning filmmaker Zaigham Imam. The Narmada Story is a moving crime drama set in Madhya Pradesh that follows the struggle for justice led by a tribal woman and a woman sub-inspector.

Director #ZaighamImam comments, “The anthem for The Narmada Story is more than a song; it’s a salute to women’s strength, duty, and the spirit embodied by the khaki. We aimed to capture, with emotional intensity, the courage, discipline, and sacrifice of the Madhya Pradesh Women Police. With Simala Prasad—a true IPS officer—on screen, the anthem gains authenticity and power. Our intention was to craft a piece that fills women, police personnel, and all Indians with pride and determination.”
