Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia reflects on sharing screen space with experienced actors!

As Ab Hoga Hisaab continues to draw attention for its gripping narrative and ensemble cast, actor Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia is opening up about one of the most rewarding aspects of the project sharing screen space with experienced actors and learning from them throughout the journey.

For Nimrit, working alongside veteran actor Sanjay Kapoor was not just a professional opportunity but also an enriching learning experience. The actress says that beyond his years of experience, what stood out most was his approachable nature and the environment of comfort he created on set.

Speaking about her experience, Nimrit shared, “Sanjay Sir is the senior-most actor in our cast, and from the very beginning I looked at this project as an opportunity to learn from him. He comes from a family that has such a long association with cinema, and for someone like me, it felt special to be able to work alongside him. When you start your journey in the industry, you naturally observe people who have spent decades doing this work, and you try to understand how they approach their craft, how they conduct themselves, and how they handle the pressures that come with the profession.”

She further added, “What I genuinely appreciated about Sanjay Sir was how welcoming he was with all of us. Despite his experience and stature, there was never a sense of hierarchy on set. He was very generous with his time, whether it was discussing scenes, sharing experiences, or simply spending time with the cast between takes. We would often sit together for meals, have conversations, laugh about things, and discuss work. Those interactions made a huge difference because they created a very comfortable atmosphere for everyone. As younger actors, we never felt intimidated or hesitant around him. Instead, he made us feel like we were all working towards the same goal. I think that quality is rare and it says a lot about the kind of person he is. I have taken away a lot of learning from this experience, not just as an actor but also in terms of how to carry yourself on a set and make others feel included.”

With Ab Hoga Hisaab, Nimrit steps into a layered crime-thriller narrative while continuing to expand her range as a performer. The actress believes that being surrounded by experienced artists on the project helped elevate her own performance and made the journey even more memorable.
