Accused has delivered a landmark achievement for Indian streaming content by becoming Netflix India’s most-watched original title of 2026 so far. According to Netflix’s engagement report covering January to June 2026, the Dharmatic Entertainment production outperformed every other Indian Netflix original film and series released during the period, marking a significant moment for homegrown storytelling on the platform.
Its success extends well beyond the Indian market. Across Netflix’s vast global library of more than 9,000 films, series and licensed titles, Accused secured the 67th spot worldwide after amassing 19 million views during the first six months of the year. Among Indian titles featured in the report—including both Netflix originals and acquired content—it ranked second only to Dhurandhar, making it the highest-performing Indian Netflix original of the year.
The film’s worldwide ranking further cements its position as one of India’s strongest streaming successes. By surpassing previous performance benchmarks associated with Indian Netflix originals, Accused has established itself as one of the platform’s standout global performers in 2026. Its international appeal was also reflected during its release window, when it entered Netflix’s trending charts across 74 countries, demonstrating the film’s ability to resonate with audiences far beyond India.
Sharing the report, Netflix stated, “Today, we’re sharing what our members watched on Netflix from January to June 2026.” The streamer also highlighted India’s growing impact on the platform, adding, “India had its highest viewing for a half yet with hits like Dhurandhar (37M).”
