Sony Pictures Entertainment India’s SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY has shattered Indian box office records with a monumental opening weekend performance. Debuting on Thursday—a day ahead of its North American release—the Tom Holland-led blockbuster generated an astounding Rs 309 Cr gross over four days, marking the fastest time a Hollywood title has ever breached the Rs 300 Cr mark in India.
Fuelled by unprecedented fan celebrations and outstanding word of mouth, the film recorded its biggest single-day haul on Sunday with Rs 93 Cr gross, taking its four-day total to Rs 309 Cr gross.
