‘Jodi’ Celebrates the Unbreakable Bond Between a Farmer and His Bullocks!

In Maharashtra, the festival of Pola celebrates this special relationship, with farmers bathing, decorating and worshipping their bullocks as a mark of gratitude for their invaluable contribution to farming.
Keeping this deeply rooted emotion at its heart, the makers have announced their upcoming Marathi film ‘Jodi’ on the auspicious occasion of Pola. The film comes with the evocative tagline, “No matter how many blows time inflicts, this bond never breaks!”, offering a glimpse into a story that promises to celebrate an extraordinary human-animal relationship.
Produced by Final Draft Film Production and FableFox Media Production, ‘Jodi’ has been written and directed by #DnyaneshwarShantaramJadhav. The first poster, unveiled along with the announcement, has further piqued curiosity around the film.
The poster features a pair of bullocks pulling a plough through lush green farmland, surrounded by the vast sky and picturesque agricultural fields. Interestingly, a tractor can also be seen in the backdrop, symbolising the changing face of farming and the gradual transition from traditional agricultural practices to modern technology.
The line “No matter how many blows time inflicts, this bond never breaks!” captures the essence of ‘Jodi’. While technology and changing times may transform the way farming is carried out, the emotional bond between a farmer and his trusted bullocks remains timeless.
