Sujay Dahake’s ‘Tujhya Aaila’ Trailer Unveiled!

National Award-winning filmmaker Sujay Dahake returns with another bold and thought-provoking story in his upcoming Marathi film ‘#TujhyaAaila’. Known for his distinctive storytelling and socially relevant cinema through acclaimed films such as ‘Shala’ and ‘Shyamchi Aai’, Dahake now turns his lens towards an issue so deeply embedded in everyday life that most of us no longer notice it—verbal violence.

The trailer of ‘Tujhya Aaila’ was unveiled today, offering a powerful glimpse into a film that questions not just the words we speak, but the culture we have normalised.

At first glance, the title ‘Tujhya Aaila’ is startling. But beyond its provocative name lies a deeply emotional and socially relevant narrative. Reinforced by its intriguing tagline, “It’s not a swear word. It’s the name of a game,” the film explores how abusive language has gradually become a part of everyday conversation, often without anyone questioning its emotional consequences.

The trailer asks a simple yet unsettling question: When did abuse become a language we stopped hearing?

A mother is universally regarded as a symbol of love, care and respect. Yet, her identity is casually invoked in everyday insults, exposing a contradiction that forms the emotional core of the film. Through this powerful premise, ‘Tujhya Aaila’ examines how repeated verbal abuse quietly shapes behaviour, relationships and, most importantly, the emotional development of children. Rather than offering easy answers, the film invites audiences to reflect on the true weight of the words they use every day.

Set against the backdrop of rural Maharashtra, the film beautifully blends childhood innocence, nostalgia, friendships and playful memories with the darker reality of language and its hidden scars. What begins as a seemingly simple childhood game gradually unfolds into an emotionally layered exploration of values, social conditioning and the changing culture of communication.

Bringing together an accomplished cast and exceptionally talented child artistes, ‘Tujhya Aaila’ promises both emotional authenticity and cinematic depth. With its unconventional title, fearless subject matter and Sujay Dahake’s signature storytelling, the film is poised to become one of the most compelling Marathi films of the year—one that aims not only to entertain but also to spark meaningful conversations long after the credits roll.

‘Tujhya Aaila’ is produced by #KumarMangatPathak, #AbhishekPathak and #MurlidharChhatwani under Panorama Studios; Suunil Jaiin and Aditya Joshi under Cult Digital; and Rajesh Singh under Prakash Films. The film is co-produced by Sushant Vengurlekar, Mohit Aroora and Meghana Pramanik.

The film features Rajshri Deshpande, Rohini Hattangadi, Sambhaji Bhagat, Abhijit Thite, Soham Babar and Abhishek Zende, alongside a talented ensemble of child artistes.

‘Tujhya Aaila’ releases in theatres across Maharashtra on September 25.
